An absolute corker of a strike aswell! We could definately learn a thing or two from the Scotts whose squad hasn't got the same strength and depth as our own. Wales showed us up as well last night when they demolished the Slovaks, something we never even threatened to do.....FAI take note, we have to get this right for 2010 world cup qualifying!
I agree.We have a much better squad than the likes of scotland and even better than greece had when they won it last time out.Im not the kind to jump on the bandwagon about stan,but the man should never have been given the job in the first place.Unlike when he was a player he is way way in over his head and needs to be replaced asap.There is a lot of good up and coming players in the team as well as at underage level and they will need a manager who will inspire confidence in the abilitys they have now.I have no doubt stan will be replaced within the coming weeks but by who?? I dont know if anyone of the quality we require will step up to the plate.We dont have the money to pay anyone a decent wage its not looking to good.
FAI learn from Scottish FA? Please, two associations stumbling around finding the occasional decent team consequent on accidents of birth. Well done to Scotland, great result but remember before the start of this competition they just about ready to slit their own throats in desperation.
