Anyone see this? It was very open and gloves off for a docu. Like him or hate him its a sad state that a lot of players fall into. I have compassion for his family.

Ya saw it the other night. Thought myself it was staged a little too much. Whos to say it was actually Gazza on the phone.
Over all tho, Feel sorry for the lot of them really its not something you want any family going through.

Such a said state. The man will be dead in a few years. I felt sorry for the eldest son, he gives a damn but the ex-wife(?) and daughter are just media whores. The youngest lad was well preped so you couldnt judge him.
That american tramp really got on my nerves though, telling the lads what to do. I went through the same experience with my uncle who basically drank himself to death on the park benches of Kilburn. Bet she was getting well paid.

thought the mother and daughter were just after the publicity myself, why would you put gazza in front of a camera when he is in recovery and the older son said it all when he said to the sister that they were going to see their dad and not a holiday.

A bit of a cynical bunch we have here. There are easier ways to get in the papers than by doing something like this beside the ex wife has been out of the public eye for quite some time and the daughter didnt exactly do much on screen in talking to the camera to suggest she was playing it up for them.
I dont think the youngest kid was prepared myself he just looked like an intelligent kid that couldn't give a sh!t about a father that abandoned him and cant understand why this man is worshipped despite being a wifebeating alcholic bad father.

Have to agree i felt it was staged a bit
The scene where the went into the hotel to speak to him but no cameras
went with the family. Just wonder was he there at and even if he was in the room did he open the door

Was on channel 4. I doubt they'll repeat it.
Thought it was pretty good myself. What a mess he is. It's not just the alcohol thats the problem but he's totally mentally unstable too.

I felt sorry for all of them. He needs help quick before he kills himself. It must be tough on the youngest kid as Gazza is his natural father and he has no relationship at all with him. As for the rest of the family, I think some of the comments are a bit harsh. They did seem concerned for hm.

sad to see,he seemed to be doing well for a while there but it looks like he's fallen off the wagon again.
it must be hard for most footballers to come to terms with their careers ending but it must be doubly hard for him because he really did throw it away.he was the most talented british player of his generation.if he'd been handled properly and done a few things differently himself he could've been some player.
glenn roeder spoke very fondly of him last week on soccer am,he said he had a heart of gold.they showed a clip of him, chris waddle and gazza being interviewed in a sky studio 20 years ago and gazza was sitting there with a motorbike helmet on him the mad fcuker.chris waddle was p1ssing himself laughing..:D
as much as i hate to say it and as much as i fcukin hate demento if he had've signed for utd it would've been the making of him...

Im not sure about that. I think whiskey nose got rid of more p1ssheads than he saved. And Gazza isnt the most stable lad mentally either. Theres no way anyone could have kept him quiet and in-check I reckon.
