My old phone has finally given up the ghost, I have it nearly 4 years now and it's stuck together with bluetack and brown tape and the time has now come to say fairwell, I honestly don't know a great deal about the type of phone that's on the market now and I'm looking for some advice and Suggestions as to whats a good reliably and up to date phone, I was in Liffy Vally today looking at some but there're so many to choose from and I had'nt got a clue so I went home empty handed anyone got any ideas
I'm on O2 bill pay but was thinking of changing to metior as I'd get a better deal as a new customer I don't mind spending a few euro on a good phone
Hi Very sorry, I can't recall the model but I'm pretty definite that a Samsung was voted the best handset, for telephone calls - clear calls, volume etc. For Internet Access, the Iphone came out tops, but it was described as less than perfect, when they considered it for phonecalls. That was recently mentioned on Newstalk if I recall correctly, so it's obviously based on Irish mobile signals, networks etc. Perhaps the detail of this can be found on their website / google etc ? Hope this helps mate.
Cheers Garrett, I was looking at a samsung tocco today and it looked really nice but they only had it in pink I'd never live it down if D-Red found out I had bought a pink phone
Sure it would match the pink LFC hat and scarf set for sale at Anfield these days ... granted, you'd need to be a bird to look the part though mate For the record, I've a pretty basic and dated Nokia btw ... can't say it's any better than OK to be honest, phone line and signal are less than perfect.
3 samsung phones have gone on the blink within the last 2 months in my house and my best mates one also went last month sent mine back to get fixed yesterday, my next upgrade is in may and will never touch samsung again my girlfriend has the tocco, it looks quite the challenge to txt on while drunk, on the positive side her's hasent broke yet but she has only had it since christmas
i have nokia n95 8gb i use it for work, it has everything and im rough with them and have it 6 months now
HTC Diamond or the Nokia N95. Both class phones. The HTC has more features and if you're in any way techy or nerdy, there's loads of applications available to put onto it. N95 is a safer bet though if you're not that way inclined.
TBH it's hard to beat a Nokia. Some of the Sony Ericssons are good too but stay away from sliders etc. I have a Nokia E61i - full qwerty keyboard, decent size screen, full internet browsing, wifi, email etc on it. I think there is an E71 out now replacing this. E65 and E51 are also available with all of the above features except qwerty screen which makes them smaller.
I have the Tocco and it's a great phone, texting while drunk is a bit o a bitch.. It's probably for the best though
Just got talked into buying this new phone, think its called a nokia 3210. It's great, you can change the cover and its got a great game on it called "snake". Definitely worth buying!
my first phone i absolutely loved it bur sadly lost it on my junior cert night heard the new samsung is pretty good although personally i wont be buying another samsung again, got one in the summer and had to get a replacement a week after, the signal was absolutely brutal indoors.
What an awesome phone. Got it for Christmas back when I was 15/16. It had a contacts list (back then that was my home number and the numbers of the 5 other people in my class who had a mobile phone ), could send texts, a clock with an alarm and SNAKE!!
Everybody had a 3210 I think!haha. I have an E51 an 02 and its a good phone but u know the left, right, up and down middle function key that has create text, calendar, contacts and camera normally set to them well there is buttons for them all around the middle function key so u have to change it around a bit!!
