Just wondering has any one got the I Touch ? It looks a really nice piece of kit. . . I have never gone for an Apple Product before as I have always opposed them but I think I may have to give in on this one! Anyone seen any good deals on them ?

Also anyone using the I Phone ?I was tempted by that but I am not sure how good it is as far as being a phone!

Can't give you much of a review on them myself, but if you are thinking of picking one up and your across the water anytime in the near future you could do worse than calling into a Dixons Tax Free Shop in Manchester or Stansted. The 16gb version is available there for £185, as opposed to it being about €270 over here.

My housemate has the iTouch and I play around with it every now and then. Have to say, it's quite good. The touch screen is the best feature, it's very clear and big. As usual, the iTouch is very easy to navigate and packs the usual features (music, video, photos) as well as having a wifi connection which lets you browse the web (though only with the Safari, which I've never used but heard that it's c**p).
What my housemate did was, mod the iTouch which let him put on way more cool applications instead of buying from the limited number of ones available from Apple. If you got one I'd recommend doing this but make sure you know what you're doing.

As for the iPhone. Don't like it. It's the iTouch with a phone on it. There are better phones out there with more (and better) features than the iPhone.

I have it top notch one of the better play toys out there. I have the 8gb and it's plenty of memory. You can get the new firmware off itunes that allows you to download tons of extras for free. As well as it been an ipod it has a great wifi function and it has a safari browser. The youtube function is great. Defo recommend them.

Got the 16GB Itouch last year. Got it in NY. Within a month, had problems with the keyboard function on it. Some keys weren't working, etc. Apple replaced it though with no hassle. They even send a UPS courier to you to collect it !!! Had no trouble with the new one. Really cool device. Have watched films on it, browse the internet, some nifty games and applications can be uploaded to it. Have run out of space on my one now though.

Any idea how i'd go about getting this firmware as i've been looking on itunes and they charge your for absolutely every single app you download.

Just got the itouch for christmas myself and i've been terribly impressed, very easy to use and lots of little features about it. Really pleased with the Wifi connection and haven't had any issues with Safari so far, it seems to be very similar to Internet explorer to be honest.
