    Anyone got one of these? There is some great deals on them at the moment. Do they still produce top of range games or is it fading out?

    They are good to play but the joysticks are faulty on them. My one has snapped off 3 times and the replacement joysticks are very hard to get hold of.

    its good but you will need to get custom firmware installed to fully enjoy it.

    I have one myself, found it quite useful in my college days...the wi-fi's an added bonus and i actually found a programme which allows you to put word documents on the psp, so i uploaded articles and ebooks on it...though i don't use it quite a lot now to be honest, i'll probably try and flog it if possible...

    To be honest even if there are deals on it now I would still avoid it,
    It has maybe a dozen decent games at a stretch,
    It's an ok media player/ web browser if your somewhere with wi-fi but speaking as a PSP launch day owner I wouldn't buy it now.

    And I'm pretty sure there is a new model of it in the works again.

    Saying all that if you like your gaming Patapon, LocoRoco 1 + 2, Final Fantasy Crystal Core, Street Fighter, Ratchet and Clank and a few others are all enjoyable.

    UMD is shite.

    custom firmware and a large memory stick will let you download and play "backup" games, play emulators (the megadrive one is amazing and looks great on the psp's excellent screen.) provided of course you own the ROMs your playing...., you can stick some movies on it to further use that screen, and all the other features mentioned like wi-fi, word etc which personally i wouldnt be too bothered about!

    Just got one of these for Crimbo and it's pretty cool. Playing Tiger Woods a lot on it and the web browser is cool.

    For those of you who have been at this for a while and have firmware etc added can you please add some details of what is worth getting and where to get it? Also what types of movie files can it show and where do you get them from i.e. can you put your home dvd's on to the psp if you get a large enough memory card. I remember it being difficult to do this with my Ipod
