I expect Sami to keep his place for this one. Would not be suprised to see himself, Carragher and Srktel all starting this one. Man U were very fortunate to won there, they had the sending off to thank for it.

Teams seem to have worked out how to stop for Delap missle lately

With the way we're playing at the moment we should have far too much for Stoke i'm afraid but i must admit that i do admire their plucky spirit all the same.

Only question is will Alonso be fit, if not i'd be happy enough to see Lucas replace him and kuyt back in for Babel on the right with Torres starting if he's ready for it and if not let keane make up for his errors on saturday.

Is arbeloa back yet and anyone think we'll see Skrtel getting a game in?

Massive, massive game. We can go 6 pts clear and then sit back and watch utd and chelsea take points of each other on sunday.

If we could manage 3 wins before the chelsea game, we'd be in a fantastic position

Fuller misses this one aswell doesn't he? so thats a bonus as he puts himself about well. Great with Nando comin back and we do owe them from earlier in the season..

Grab 3 points anyway we can, get the Fu*k out of there and hope we never have to play them again. They are a disgrace to the beautiful game.

Agreed - had to sit through the nil nil with a Stoke fan, behind a pillar in MX !!!!

If the early goal had not been disallowed we would have stuffed them, but it was an awful match in spots !!!!

The Stoke travelling support put on a good show to be fair, but not sure about the Tom Jones fettish :):):)

Put simply, this is a must win game before the clash of Utd & Chelsea on the same day.

We win, we put pressure on the others, and with Utd so far behind on points, but having those games in hand, then a Chelsea win would do nicely!!!

A draw would leave both on only 2 points in the mini league. Not very impressive:p

we seem to do better away at the lesser teams,so we should have a result here.rafa's selection will be interesting as he played as near to his strongest team in the cup game.with insua and probably alonso out it cuts down his options.if robbie gets a start i hope he can get his act together.he could have put that game to bed in the first half sat.

I really hope that losing Alonso isn't going to prove a massive hinderence on our performance in this one. Lucas and Masch will be our holding players and should be more than enough for this one but Alonso is the heartbeat of our team and therefore irreplaceable.

Would like to see Babel getting another run in this one but i can't see it happening, Riera seemed so much more effective when he was able to roam from side to side up front and he hasn't got that option with Kuyt on the right.

Would go with the following team

    --------------Reina-----------------
Carragher--- Hyypia--- Agger--- Aurelio/Arbeloa(if either fit)
    ----------Alonso(if fit)/Lucas -- Macherano
    Kuyt---------Gerrard---------Riera
    -------------Torres-------------

3 points vital here, we should have far too much for them, lets put the pressure on the other two before they clash sunday!!
