Ive been watching this over the last few days,and ive never seen the media so biased, and one sided towards the israeli side. one israeli said they are living under siege,and an army spokesman made reference to israelis been massacered Hamas are dirty as well in this of course,but israelis been massacered? 4 dead at the last count. while the journalists dont even pull the spokesman, on that 4 dead is hardly considered a massacer it seems very clear to me that the innocent people in gaza are the ones under siege and being killed every day. ive seen on other news sites of women and children, missing body parts..and all the horror that goes with it. i know they cant show these images on the likes of regular news channels.. but is it too much to ask to give the world a more balanced view? it obviously is.
Threads like this can get very heated very quickly so I'm going to just briefly say that Israel has been getting away with murder (both figuratively and literally) for years now. A stop to this would have been forthcoming years ago from the international community, but America has been backing Israel for years now. And most nations in the west find it hard to stand up to America, or don't want to. Israel is the bully in the playground, America is it's bigger brother. The whole thing stinks. I have read, petitioned, signed, supported the Palestine cause quite a lot over the last ten years and will continue to do so. This is just the latest chapter in a very tragic and long-running saga.

There is no doubt isreal has been hit by rocket launches from gaza and feels thretened by the surrounding arab countries but the attacks on the palestinians are plain mass murder of a people with no regard for children or other innocent people.( not sayin the palestinians attacks were presion attacks on military positions). It is a horrible situation. Speaking of Bias there is a piece in the indo today which is possibly the most biased piece of journalism in favour of the israelis I have ever seen. Its disgraceful that israel is getting away with murder in the gaza strip on a daily basis. just seen on the news that over 40 have been killed while taking refuge in a UN run school. a UN spokesperson said it had given the israeli army, the GPS cordinates of the school,so that it would not be targeted. over 600 dead now, and rising.They (israelis) obviously dont care about palestinian lives..and im not surprised,or shocked. but the international community should be doing a lot more to stop this mass slaughter of innocent women and children. israel is doing the proverbial... "Shooting fish in a barrel" its the most densely populated area on earth. 1.5 million crammed into 140 Sq miles.with nowhere to run or hide. i just think it needs mentioning.
theres no comparison with gaza and NI. fighting in the gaza area has been going on for only a 1000 years.
I think these kind of disproportionate attacks by states on mostly civilians is one of the fall outs from americas gun heavy approach to their war on terrorism, same with georgia and russia last year and of course israel and the every suffering Palestinians. With america sticking the middle finger to everyone and doing untold damage many other states, russia and china and israel in particular have no justification in these attacks. Also I don't see any real media bias, channel 4 news usually gives a good account from both sides (i have stopped watching sky and beeb)
Every time Israel drop a bomb on Gaza they create a new generation of hatred towards themselves. Imagine being a 9 year old boy in Palestine now, your only wish must be to survive this and grow old enough and strong enough to kill Israeli's. As mentioned above there will never be peace in the region. I heard a speaker on Matt Copper on Today FM saying Palestine is being punished by atrocities committed by Germany, I couldn't agree more.
As long as Isreal keeps getting carte blanche support from the Americans they will operate whatever way the like and the international community will continue to sit by and watch because it does not have the will or the power to stop them.
Is Right. American foreign policy has been wholly flawed for a long time now and there's no sign of it changing, unfortunately. It's very disconcerting that "the most powerful state in the world" hasn't got a fcuking clue when it comes to their own foreign policy. And then they wonder why there's so much Anti-American feeling out there... But shame on Israel for taking advantage of the situation

powerful details from C4...and some shocking images of the slaughter in gaza. i followed a good bit of the conflict on the al-jazeera channel..and it was different, as it had no restrictions. that israeli spokesperson..mark regev was a very clever and slick liar,every day he was on all the channels telling lies, sky news showed a picture of a young kid throwing a stone at a tank.. and within 20 seconds regev turned the kid into goliath..and the tank into david unbelievable. i sent an e-mail to sky news complaining. and i got a reply from them saying they stike a balance..do they F**k. as john snow said we may never know the truth
