Might as well get this thread underway- anyone know if its on the box or am i gonna spend my stephens day desperately searching for streams online
Not sure on the TV situation yet... But one thing is sure.. A win is required in this game... big time. I'd love to at least see Torres, Masch and Skrtel on the bench if not starting.. And Im gonna go with a 1-0 win.. Robbie keane with the winner!!
As it's not a Saturday the Setanta Ireland deal does not apply and Sky can not show any 3pm KO this day either. So we will all be looking for streams online or listening on the radio or both. Top at Christmas! How good is that.
bollox.not on telly at all.know a few pubs that might have it on some foreign channel-will they be open as normal on stephens day? 3 points is vital.
if we can string together 3-5 wins it will give the lads great confidence and give us an even better platform to push on from there but we simply have to win this game.yet another home draw against a 'lesser' side would be a big body blow.still, have to fancy us-we have a very good home record against bolton in recent years.
balls. will be in the sticks for christmas so online streaming is a no no until there is a proper broadband service in ireland. Need 3 points defo as cant see much slip ups else where
I was in the local in Ballinteer for The Arsenal game and I'm sure I seen the Liverpool v Bolton game on their list of upcoming TV matches.
Will prob be on the Norweigen channel or some espn channel the pubs can get. Im sure its on in a one of my locals so when the pub clears of mancs after delap(fingers crossed) and co manage to pull of a miracle and get a result , itl be time for the big guns to take stage and stay TOP
on all of these channels but none of my locals have them 2M National Alfa TV Cyprus BHT 1 C+ France C+ Hi-Tech C+ Sport 1 (D/F/N/S) Diema ESPN Brazil EuroSport 2 (FAPL) G Sports 1 Hi Soccer Nova Sport (Cze) Nova Sports 1 (Hellas) NTV+ Football Premiere Sport Portal RTS 2 (Ser) Show Sports 1 & 2 Sky Calcio 1 Sky Sport 1 (Italy) Sport 1 (Ned) Sport 1 (Ukr) Sport TV2 SuperSport 3 (ZA) Source L.J.'s LIVE Sport on Satelite
we,ve got to start putting a run of wins together to really push on,bolton are in good form of late so i can see them having a go at anfield...i fancy us to win 2-0
A big game, and one we should. Just hope the tension doesn't roll from the stands onto the pitch. As we know Bolton will come and sit back and it's up to us to break them down. We usually have a good second half to the season so a strong festive period could set us up for that elusive number ninteen.
The pub near me at home has it, so thats Stephens Day sorted. Hope to see Insua and Keane in there from the start. Maybe give Babel a run instead of Riera or Kuyt. Dirk has played almost every match and with Newcastle two days later he could do with a rest. Reina, Arbeloa, Carragher, Agger, Insua, Babel, Masherano, Alonso, Riera, Gerrard, Keane
SAMMY DELIGHT AT CHRISTMAS NUMBER ONE Sammy Lee believes Liverpool's position as the Barclays Premier League's Christmas number one highlights the huge strides they have made this season. The Reds assistant manager admits the Reds are in an ideal position as they prepare for the festive double-header with Bolton and Newcastle but insists they must now ensure they maintain their place at the top of the tree. "We've improved. We are in a better position than we were last year," he told reporters at this afternoon's press conference. "The race is closer because we have come from something like fifth last year to first. Okay. Nothing is won by the end of December, but you can certainly lose a lot by not being in the chase. "We are top. We would like to stay there. We know it is going to be very difficult but every single one of these lads is working hard to make sure we maintain that position. "If you'd said at the start of the season that we'd be top of the league at Christmas I think we'd have all been pleased with that." The hectic nature of the Christmas period means that while supporters are tucking into their Christmas turkey, the players will instead be running through last minute preparations for Bolton. Lee insists this is a fact of life for professional footballers and is confident the players will remain focused on taking maximum points from the next two matches. "It's normal to be in on Christmas Day," he said. "The lads are professionals. We know we've got a game on Boxing Day to prepare for. It's already been said that we have our Christmas at different times. "We've got two massive games in a short space of time and so it's important we are ready for them sand the lads know what they've got to do to prepare for those games. Hopefully that will all go okay and we can get maximum points from those games." Liverpool's hard-fought draw at the Emirates, coupled with Chelsea's stalemate at Everton, means the Reds still lead the chasing pack by one point after 18 matches played. Some observers have suggested they should have taken all three against the Gunners following Emmanuel Adebayor's red card, but Lee is adamant a point was a good return from their trip to the capital. "Every point is vital," he said. "You go into every game and would always like to get maximum points but you also have to be realistic. Beforehand we'd have accepted a point at the Emirates and we were pleased afterwards too. "Okay maybe we should have taken advantage of the fact they went a man down, but we are pleased to come away from it with point. It again showed the spirit and desire of our lads after going behind, to come back." When asked if the equalising goal against Arsenal would prove to be a big moment for Robbie Keane, Lee said: "It's a massive moment for everyone. It got us back into the game. "People are always trying to make something out of nothing. Robbie's been brought here to score goals. He's a terrific player and a terrific lad and he just showed what he can do on Sunday."
I expect us to win but I have to say Megson has done an excellent job with Bolton. It was only a few months ago that their fans were staging protests about the man because they despised him so much. Fair play to him for turning it around. Elmander looks like a very shrewd piece of business and they actually play a bit of ball at times now too. Its going to be a tough match. The Cuckoos Nest is showing the match on Friday. The pub is open from 12-6pm.
Given our past performances at home anything is possible but we simply have to win this. Bolton are a tough side to play against. An early goal would be fantastic. Also the crowd needs to stay off the teams back.
**** sake went into nevada smiths-the liverpool fan club in cork who show all the games on all sorts of arabic channels etc. and asked if they were showing the game.ur man says the schedule was changed this morning and that the game isnt on any sattelite station which can be received in cork.christ sake.another day on the computer it is.
