    A countrywide survey of 2,708 football fans found that the Merseyside club, currently the league leaders, are also the best watched team on TV.

    Research by sports website www.wheresthematch.com found that success has a direct correlation to support bases, with 14.3 per cent of fans pledging their allegiance to 18 times title winners Liverpool.

    The article says were are the best watched not the best supported. I cant see how we can have more supporters than united, given the capacity of their ground and the fanbase they have built up in asia.

    Seen an on a website during the week a survey on footie fans around englend on the reason why they support their club and the red fans topped it with glory huntin and only supported because we won things.:mad:
