Hi, I'm not from Ireland and I'm not from England too. I'm from Italy but I'm a Liverpool fan, can't sleep the nights before a Liverpool match, and I consider Ireland my 2th country (maybe the first?). I went to Dublin 4 years ago for only two weeks, but it was a fantastic holiday and I'll probably come back very soon. I would ask you why Liverpool has lot of irish fans. is it true that in Liverpool there are lot of irish people? why?
Hi Steve wecolme to the site hope to hear lots more from ya. There will be a lot post to your question about 'why Liverpool, and why there are so many Irish in Liverpool '? Why Liverpool can be from family, older brothers, father ect. Or lots of other reason. The is a threat with some great answers. Its under the heading 'Liverpool and the Irish'. To answer the question why is there so many Irish in Liverpool, many more highly educated then me will answer that. But it goes back to the 'Great Irish Famine' in 1845. Irish people fled Ireland to all corners of the world. And with Liverpool being the closest port. Thousand left Ireland got to Liverpool and went no further. Hope this helps...
thank you, I heard about Great Famine, I also heard that Liverpool had lot of links with Ireland because of the geographic position, on the Irish Sea. In Dublin I saw many people with Liverpool shirt. Is Liverpool the most popular team in Ireland except Celtic FC?
