Rubbish no blue tooth bulky awkward too expensive get yourself a normal phone and buy an itouch (iphone without the phone part)
What advice are you looking for on them? By "Are they are use etc etc" do you mean "are they useful?" I don't have one (I'm a HTC man myself) but a few of my friends have them and I've played around with them. They have definitely have that cool ipod/apple feel to them. The menus are all bright and colourful. The touchscreen is VERY good and screen is great. Camera is good quality. Has wi-fi so it can connect to wireless networks for browsing online. It's pretty much what you'd expect from Apple in a phone/media player. Easy to use, nice looking, great screen quality. You should have a look at this too http://www.htc.com/www/product/touchdiamond/overview.html My Dad has it. Best phone I've ever come across. I don't think you can get it with O2, Meteor or Vodafone but I don't think they're locked (they're vendor independent) so it's no problem just putting your old sim in.
Cheers lads thanks for that info haven't a clue about these phones. Andrew in reply to your By "Are they are use etc etc" do you mean "are they useful?" yes your quick on the go that's what i meant! Are should have been any!
What is it you want from a phone (or is it a Christmas present?). The iPhone has two things going for it in my opinion. Ease of use and a great touch screen. As Liamo said, there's no bluetooth which is a balls if you want to use your phone with a handsfree kit for instance. Btw, have you considered that all your texting is done with the touch screen. You may want to have a go at one and see how you feel about that. Generally, I think it's quite easy to text on the iPhone but everyone's different.
Got the iPhone 3G 16GB with O2 last week. I'm an IT guy (software developer). I promised myself I'd never buy an Apple product (I don't agree with the marketing direction they took with putting restrictions on their hardware/software). However, the iPhone is amazing. I have no idea how someone could call it rubbish - technically speaking, and I hate when people use these terms, but it literally is like something from a few years from now. Needless to say, it's not perfect. It doesn't have "true" bluetooth, can't forward texts, can't copy and paste, the camera is an after thought (only 2 megapixels and suffers from a lens issue) but works as well as any Nokia 3 megapixel offering (albeit Nokia camera's are tradionally crap, excluding perhaps the new Carl Zeiss generations) and so on. Also, if you have hands like shovels it'll be difficult to get used to the touchscreen keyboard. But as a multimedia device - i.e. if u want a fun toy, it's unbeatable. If you want a business phone, forget about it (I recommend the qwerty Nokia E71). It makes me wonder how I put up with the symbian o/s (operating system) on Nokia phones for so long. Now I have a device that can be a phone, camera, GPS, iPod, Web Browser (inc Wi-Fi capabilities) etc. And all offered through a wonderfully designed o/s, and market leading touch screen technology. I'm speaking as a bit of a nerd. But this phone has converted me to think differently about Apple. What a device.
