Well he is on £35000 and apparently he wants double that.

Dont know what is gonna happen but i would pay the cash and keep the guy, hasnt been back long and has made a few mistakes but overall he is a class player and very good back up for skrtel.
Plus with Hyppia not registered for european games we would miss him badly there should he be sold.

Im kinda torn on this one while the skittles/carra partnership is better, carra is getting on and probably doesnt have that many years as a top flight CB left.

I always viewed Agger/Skittles as the next long term CB partnership like Carra/Hyypia but there are probably a good number of regulars not getting the £70k a week he is looking for (of thats true) so he may not get it.

While I dont want him to go if we can get a decent price and Rafa can find a decent replacement then so be it.

I think most would agree that Agger/Skrtel would be seen as the future partnership. But there are renewed links with Heinze as well. You're always going to see this kind of speculation at this time of year but the only thing that would give it credence is our financial situation at the moment... we could probably sell Agger for at least double the money we'd pay for Heinze and free up cash for another purchase if needed. I wouldn't like to see it happen but it's the money reason that I wouldn't rule it out happening...

wouldn't sell him, has massive potential. Could see him being tempted by a move to Italy or Spain though, might suit his game better.

Has the potential to be best CB in the world, must get him tied down for 4 or 5 years. We had a lucky escape with Heinze IMO, he has gone backwards fast.

He is a quality player and I love the way he takes the ball out of defence. He is also dangerous at set prieces. One thing I have noticed this season is that he is casual at times on ball(Against West Brom) and in the Fulham match about four clearances were blocked down by Zamora and Johnson.

Big step backwards to sell him

Agger could go in January, infact at least one major player will be sold in January and I think it could be Agger as hes not 1st choice when everyone is fit, the yanks are up shit creek and a player will be sold, the Dubai deal is dead and the Yanks have been told this so there gona sell a player to buy themselves 6 months with the banks, if there still here after that watch the asset stripping begin.

would be extremely disappointed if we let him go, he is the making of a quality player he's young and at present learning alot from carra. and apart from the obvious thats he's god eye candy ;););) no but seriously he'd be missed

    Are you George Lee?

As soon as they show 1 sign of desperation they're fooked. Selling a young promising 1st team regular lets the world know your the next Leeds. If your correct we are all fooked. Lets see in January......

    no prob.

Daniel Agger today spoke of his contentment with life on Merseyside - but admitted he had yet to reach top form after returning from injury.
The Dane, who missed almost all of last season with a metatarsal injury, has enjoyed an extended run in the side since Martin Skrtel suffered cruciate ligament damage against Man City in October.

With Skrtel hoping to return this month, Agger knows he will have to be at his best to stay in the team.

"It's difficult to compare to how I was before, and I know there are some things I need to improve, but I can feel myself getting better and better with every game," the 23-year-old told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"Maybe I am not there yet, but I will be soon.

"Of course sometimes it's difficult but you have to keep working hard to improve yourself and that's what I am trying to do.

"It has been difficult with the injury last year but that's the past. Hopefully I'll be back to 100 per cent soon.

"Outside of the pitch I'm really happy. I am enjoying everything. The people in Liverpool are so friendly. I was really surprised when I came to the city how friendly the people were compared to other places I have been. I cannot complain about anything. I feel at home."

Meanwhile, Agger described teammate Sami Hyypia as 'the ultimate professional' after the Finn climbed into Liverpool's top 20 appearance list by playing his 454th game against West Ham.

"I can't even say how big an achievement it is," said Agger. "He is such a superb player and such a good professional. I can't think of anyone else who deserves what he's got more than him.

"He is the ultimate professional. If he's not playing he helps others as much as he can and tries to guide people."

    Interesting training picture here

    Look at his face!!

How do they get a picture like that at training? Is it filmed or is it just a very shrewd camera man?

Dont know how you can class him as quality when he hasnt done anything yet?

There certinly is potential but he is prone to mistakes, I think he has been poor since coming back this season. I gave him the first few games to get match sharpness back but mistakes keep happening, not the end product of a quality player.

dont see how selling him and then buying Heinze would improve the club but if he goes then i think heinze would be a similar quality defender.

i would only sell him if its him that wants to go.

richards would be a better replacement.
