First of 3 consecutive home games.
Looks like Gerrard might miss this one.
Hopefully Rafa won't use the upcoming Marseille game or Post International excuse and make too many changes.
Fulham have been decent at home and poor enough away so far but hopefully we won't take them to lightly as they did beat the mighty Spurs.

On paper it's a good fixture for us, but they're the sort of games we often mess up.

Hopefully we get an early goal, if so it'll be straight forward. But it's one of those where if Fulham get to half-time at 0-0 then it's going to be a long evening.

A lot about this game is going to depend on who comes back from Internationals injured, apparently gerrard is out and keane has been withdrawn from the squad so we could be down 2 already but hopefully its just excuses to keep them out.

If everyone returns un-injured then i'd go with much the same team as against bolton at the weekend except Carra back at centre back and Arbeloa as full back. Keep Torres on the bench if he's still not 100% but preferably play both of them with Masch on the bench and Gerrard and Alonso holding the midfield together. Its a home game against fulham and i'd like to see 4-4-2.

My brother is a Fulham fan (God help him) and he is resigned already to losing this game. Now I wouldn't for one second be complacent but this is the first time in the last few years that he hasn't been upbeat going to Liverpool hoping to get some kind of result. It's a very good sign when other fans (and hopefully players) are pretty much resigned to losing before the game starts and something we haven't had for some years. A good sign that Anfield is a place to be feared again in the League. Come on the reds, 2 or 3 nil win!!!

Fulham aren't as much a park the bus in front of the goal as other sides but i know what you mean. No injuries from the friendlies is the first worry.

We should definatly be ble to beat them and hopefully Torres and Keane can pair up and get the partnership up and running again i think we will have a 2-0 win but not without a few scares along the way

if gerrard is injured we should be able 4 them specially ar home. but fulum got a result we should of got a win against tottonham so they,ll be confident coming up. but once we get an early goal and another to kill the game of the form we are in at the moment and with all the chances weve bieng creating. some team is going to get a battering if we score with all the chances were getting

Don't understand people's obsession with goal difference, it hasn't decided a league in 20 years and even that year it went on goals scored. We just need to keep racking up the points at the rate we are.

I think the reason people are getting a little carried away by the whole goal difference because its what has kept us off top spot for a few weeks. I wouldn't even look at it myself, get as many points clocked up in the next few weeks before we enter what a dodgy enough looking January and February.

I don't like this theory at one bit especially seen as this is a game against a decent fulham squad thats in a pretty rich vein of form and they'll be eyeing a major scalp at the weekend.
In this league you have to earn every point and if we go into this game thinking that we can win comfortably and its just a case of going out there and scoring goals then we will be losing a lot of games very soon. Just because we're top of the table doesn't mean that teams will roll over for us, we still need to fight as hard as we have had all season and i think the few scares that we've had already this season (wigan, man city, sunderland, even bolton) will stand us in good stead!
