Interesting...that's alot of debt, and i can't see them recouping alot through raising ticket prices...we'll need to possibly sell the naming rights, to get some return...and what about Anfield...is is going to be converted into a memorial, or will they sell the land?...
liverpools board would have know all these details and wouldnt have sold the club if they where gonna be in debt they know what they doing they aint billionaires and millionaires for nothing
When it comes down to board meetings and voting rights etc, Hicks and Gilette have total control, and can do as they please...
yeah but they would have had to discuss these things with existing board , i mean this wouldnt be taken suddenly it be something talked about for months etc and if the liverpool board didnt back em then they wouldnt have sold sure look at utd , i hate them with a passion , they have debt etc but still spend 60 million this year on players ok they have bigger revenue etc we'll have 70000-80000 also and better franchise so we'll be sound
More newspaper BullSh*t.The teams out there who should be really worried are the teams who are not taking the risks that liverpool are taking.Any idiot will tell you that in order to make money you have to spend money and thats all this is.In my opinion are future looks bright and i think that worries many in the game. There is a lot of money to be made out of football and im sure hicks and gillett know this, hence the huge investment.Let us go about the business of winning things and let the mancs and chavs wet themselves over this. It's sad to say but there is a lot of jealous Man u fans out there who are going to be livid when are new stadium can hold 80,000 on matchday
As far as I am concerned (& this is not blind faith), since George & Tom have come in they have done exactly what they have said they would do and all in the first 6 months * We've tied down ALL of our top stars to long term contracts * We've had more money available to spend on top players than before (maybe not net but haven't had to sell before buying) * We can now look forward to an absolute top drawer stadium, unlike anything we have ever seen and streets ahead of the old design * We have appointed a new Marketing Director / Manager to maximuse our potential * We have embarked on an extensive recruitment drive for our academy from around the world & have brought in many new background staff to restructure completely the way the club is run * We have a new TV channel commencing in a few weeks time * Improvements have been made to the ticket office These guys know what they are doing and the way they structure our debt is of no concern to me to be honest - they are the experts, not me
