    taken from .tv

seems like a really down to earth fella.

Also its the second time in two days that someone has mentioned pennant as a joker in the dressing room.

    Who was the first?

Masch seems to have a real laid back personality, on the pitch though he's an absolute terrier! What a man to get an assist from a sliding tackle for Torres 1st against Derby

Ya, seems very laid back, but wouldn't fancy going in on a 50-50 challenge with him!

Incidentally, does anyone know how much we'd need to cough up to West Ham at the end of the season to sign him permanently?

He's a class act alright and a very down to earth chap by all accounts. Unreal when you think he couldn't get in the team at West Ham

Arbeloa also mentioned Pennant as the joker in the dressing room in his interview on the official site.

Depends on who you believe. There were reports this summer from some of the tabloids that its £16m. When he signed the Echo said it was £10m and I think it was the Express that said he has signed for £10m!!

I don't care which one is correct as long as he stays here for a long time.

Should be one of the first names on the teamsheet - absolute monster of a player and so much more than just a holding midfielder. Great engine, tackles as good as anyone and his passing is so much better than many give him credit for.

Seems to be genuinely appreciatetive of the support & faith that Rafa has shown in him too which always helps. I hope we make the deal permanent in the summer and he stays with us for many years - even at £18m he is well worth the money
