It has just been announced that Andy Reid will not be in the upcoming squad re Poland...If it's not an injury, i'm really not sure why he's not in the squad, it's not like we're flooded with midfielders...

your going to guess an argument
    or
he's acquired stephen ireland as his advisor.

Whatever it is unless him or Trap come out and say what it is,
Sly will make up something !

Let's just hope it's not another Ireland situation, because he is a decent player, even at the weekend against portsmouth, his quality could be seen setting up cisse...

his passing was 1st class in that game. hopefully we get to see him against the polish and not have him ruled out because of an "injury".

i'd be shocked i think trapatoni has laid down his marker with reid - if he cant get a game ahead of whelan and gibson against cyprus then he's fooked

Gibson, Whelan and Andrews all in the squad ahead of him. I am meant to be going to this match, can't say I am overly excited about it to be honest

For fecksake, how can Andy Reid not be in the squad? Ok if it was tactics/fitness/work rate reasons that left him out of the games before now (tactics or arguments!?) then a friendly was the obvious time to re-introduce him and see if he was prepared to work himself back in. I really dont see how he is not worth a place in the squad.

Should be a bit of banter on the night too, as you can guarantee that the polish will buy as many tickets as possible in the home/away sections...initially all the tickets were sold as a package from the previous game v cyprus, but they were not all taken up, so there should be plenty floating about...i went ahead and got both last game, because i'm on the block booking scheme and want my seats for when the new landstown opens...

Looks like a half decent championship side. May make the play offs, need to move on McShane 1st though.

0-0 At best I would say. Depends on how shit Poland are.

They've got to get rid of the policy of block booking packages, in the current economic climate. When the system in Lansdowne was introduced, tickets didn't cost €70 a go. Even the reduced prices are a struggle to sell, for those with associated travel and food/drink expenses.

Only 1,000 more fans went to the Cyprus game last month, as went to the same game last year. Got my Ireland tickets for these two games off a block-booker, but only had to pay half price for them.

Lost nearly all interest in Irish football its all a joke to me.... but hope they beat Poland. The Irish team can not compete with the big teams anymore they look like and play like a weaker division.

    Bring back the Chartlon days!!
