Lads just read another reds web site and come across this. Anybody that was in Athens will I think enjoy it. But wheres the answers. Some points I would like UEFA to answer and address rather than just blame the fans for convenience sake; A climbable wire fence barred initial entry from the station with one or two gates in for an initial check ( 20 odd thousand through one or two gates ). Do they honestly think this was adequate? No adequate ticket checks were carried out to spot the forgeries / people bunking in. Why not? No turnstiles - again why not? I'd guess at maybe 20,000 LFC fans in that stand behind the goal alone when there should have been about 12,000. There was no way you could sit or even move comfortably come kick off. I don't think people fully appreciate how close to disaster this was. A large percentage of those seats behind the goal had obstructed views due to advertising hoardings. Just how large does an advertising board have to be and why is it that for UEFA competitions the standard size at most top European stadia is deemed inadequate? Does the UEFA executive have severe myopia or what? ( best not answer that ). How can you tell how many people are inside a stadium without a turnstile? Does this not invalidate any health and safety certificate for the stadium, assuming it had one of course? Little or no toilets. The appalling catering facilities. No segregation when inside - I inadvertently wandered around to the Milan end in my LFC shirt. LFC fans entered via the Milan end with LFC tickets, then just walked round to our end! Some didn't bother showing a ticket at that end either and just walked in and round to our end. Imagine LFC v Man Utd here given this scenario!!. Milan got the trains back to the main airport terminal straight after the match - we had to stand in a car park for 5 hours and were not allowed ( officially ) near the main terminal. Why did we have to use a tent "miles" away from the main terminal with no facilities at the airport? Basic human rights for God's sake. I hope Messrs Gaillard and Platini enjoyed their chauffer driven limos to the stadium, their 5 course meal beforehand and champagne and truffles afterwards. I also hope they didn't have to wait too long in their 5* hotel waiting for the limo back to the airport. Perhaps for a future final Mr Gaillard would care to join the thousands of fans that contribute in paying his salary and enjoy the wonderful facilities afforded to them? No, I didn't think so. Thank you Regards Gary Coogan
