It is indeed. the irish people told them that they had no future in irish politics last year. good riddance to them.
Totally agree with all of the above but lets not forget that FF were equally as involved in implementing PD policies. The difference is that FF core vote don't have the insight to realise this.
Perhaps you are the one who lacks insight. You definitely lack insight into how a government is formed if you believe FF, as the vast majority in terms of numbers in that coalition, implemented PD policies. 99% of the policies implemented during the term of that coalition were FF policies. Its never a good day when a purely democratic party folds.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. I concur with Windhover to an extent. PD policies effectively became FF policies. FF and FG both basically espouse the same neo-liberal economics as the PDs, the only difference is that the PDs made it their raison d'etre. When times got tough , they were an easy scapegoat. That said, The PDs ultimately got their way, they forced their off the wall, anti-working class neo-liberal economics onto the political mainstream and the country is much worse off for it IMHO. When a society is ruled according to the dictat of the so called free market, it is people who essentially lose out.
