Crouch doesnt have the balls to a prove point. Thats why he doesnt play for us anymore. He was too scared to make an impact in big matches. Rafa will know exactly how to deal with him.

They were showing the Portsmouth game yesterday and at half time the channel did a big preview of our match on Wednesday and then announced they were showing it, but when I checked the channels listings earlier today they said they were showing Arsenal.

Might be a good time to play Pompey, but this is the sort of game that I always expect Chelsea and MU to stroll and us to stutter. Great test of our progress. Praying this match wont be a repeat of the stoke game. Need to keep up our excellent start and go full throttle at them from the first whistle Pompey always a tricky tie and i dont think the fact that Harry is gone will have to much bearing on the game but if anything i would say it would make the players more determined to do well for Tony Adams. Anything less than 3 points against pompy will be a diaster, why beat the Mancs and then drop 2 points at home Stoke and do something similar against pompy. This is when potential title winners put an exclamination point on their position. We need to consolidate top spot not let the others back into it.

Can you imagine where we would be had we not blown the games at Villa away when they were there for the taking and Stoke at home, but thats all ifs and buts.

I still think this will be no picnic, Defoe in the form of his life and Crouchie looking to prove a point wont give our defence an easy ride tomorrow will be a very tough game. Hopefully with Anfield rocking the players will go to put Pompy to the sword early doors and allow some players to be rested for the trip to the spuds at the weekend.

It's not a big name manager which would indicate they are in some financial difficulties as was hinted over the weekend. I am tempted to but some cash on 3-1 pool with crouch scoring for pompey.

It is absolutely crucial that we get three points out of this game no matter how we come by them. I know we've got some shortages of strikers at the moment but i still feel that we need to be starting with two up front, but i can see benitez sticking with his 5 man midfield and i really won't be too concerned as long as Riera/Kuyt and Gerrard are getting forward whenever possible to help our lone striker (probably looks like Babel as things stand).

There is no reason why we shouldnt be able to get three points here and bring that with us to the spurs game. Lets do what we failed to do after we beat the Mancs and continue the winning streak into the next game. have to check them and also quinns in drumcondra on the way home tonight.

interesting to see how the players react to Harry's leaving, i'm sure most players signed for him rather than the club. That said they have some good players who WILL cause us problems. An early goal may open them up a bit.

Crouchy is nice bloke but he is too soft. I am not having a go at him, he done his best, but I dont agree he did well or that he will score.

The goals against arsenal were hardly big games, 2 3rd/4th place play offs.
The Man U goal was sweet alright but thats about all he did in the real big games.

Carra will sort him tomorrow, a little whisper in his ear in the tunnel should do it. 4-0 Stevie G 1st scorer

agree and even if it meant leaving him on the bench for spurs and giving him 20.
we cant afford to rush him back, were gonna need him in top form for the rest of the season. at the moment he's the only injury so we still have Keane Kuyt and Babal who are all well able to hold their own.

I'd love to see babel go up front with Gerrard supporting. it would be better for him to have Gerrard alongside him. depending on how the game goes and whether or not Robbie Keane is fit Maybe Gerrard can move to the right and let Kuyt play up front as he did against Wigan so well. I am happy enough with that. Riera is not used to playing 3 time a week and he sweat blood on Sunday. Sami is good choice too - look after crouch - jamie takes defoe. I am sticking with my 4-0 score Stevie G 1st Goal.

Lads, give this one a try, I downloaded the TVU player, takes little time, and then choose the Sport option, then scan down the list and choose Soccer 2.

It takes a while, but the pictures are outstanding.

Hopefully you'll have it sorted for the 2nd half guys.
