    Hi,

my computer seems to be getting slower by the day , so i googled to see what solutions I could get . Most of them suggested to use a Registry Cleaner.

I went onto this site ,

    http://speed-up-pc.info/index.php?t=speedpc

which gives you a scan to tell you if there are problems before you buy the product . Ive now scanned it and its telling me there are 2718 problems .

Im out of my dept with this I think .

    Any advice?
Has anybody use on of ther registry cleaners and does it work ?

As always , thanks in advance .

save any files you need that are important. you probably download music from torrents and thats causing it so i recommend restoring to factory settings. but make sure you back up anything thats important

    thanks jaza.
Since I posted earlier, I have read up on these cleaners and to be honest think I will end up messing the whole thing up do I might look for an alternative.
Just out of interest Would you know if 2718 problems is normal ?
    Plus
Using the torrents would only slow things down when something is being downloaded ,wouldn't it ?

thanks for you advice mate. :)

I'd recommend uninstalling and deleting unnecessary programs. Always a b*****d for slowing things down.

With that amount of problems mate, Jaza has the right idea. Have you no antivirus on the pc? As Jaza says save all you can and restore to factory setting. Best option unless we have some wizz kids on board! Have you run Disk Frag and all that also?

    More than likely dking,

If you don't have a antivirus you need to get one.
Have you tried downloading all updates from microsoft (assuming you use it)
their website has fix its for alot of problems, how old is the pc?

What version of norton have you also?

When you do this dking, and reboot your system.
go to my computer, then click view system information, then open system restore. Pull bar to max and apply this should help and the computer will monitor all activity when working on pc to stop harmfull viruses. But always make sure you have a decent antivirus and make sure you download all microsoft updates.
