had a few posts already, this site seems to be a bit corprate orientated, not alot of working class criac...told off for using 2 for to or been grassd up for using enlarged fonts?what are they there for to express views..generatons of my family suport the greatest team ever, even had ashes spread on the al standing Kop end supporting LFC is deep rooted some of the discusions and answers to topics seem a bit biased to a certain clique or humbled by members that want to be mods..BUT saying that its a brilliant idea to try and get irish reds on one site!!!y.n.w.a

Quite an interesting view of the site from a relatively new member.
To be honest I have never really seen anyone told off for using 2 instead of 2 or for messing around with fonts, but maybe i just aint reading them threads.
As for the clique and moderator wanabe thing ....all I will say is that you can be guaranteed that if there is one then I certainly aint part of it.
But I do feel that you can have some crack on here but sometimes you may risk a bollicking from someone or other.
It all comes down to the dynamic of the site I suppose. Personally if I want to have a real bit of crack ill head to RAOTL , and if i want to get pretty accurate transfer/team news ill jump onto RAWK/YNWA/TLW.
At the moment this site has a mix of all the above but its identity/dynamic is more difficult to define.

Im only a relatively new member and cant say Ive ever came across to much giving out over short words, other than there is a post requesting not to use to many text words or abreviations due to the amount of younger and non national members there are here. Im probably the worst offender for bad spelling and dont recall to much slagging or giving out.

I think this is fair enough, for the craic there is some short, sharp, witty, sarcy and quick humoured posters on here buts that life mate, welcome to Ireland. Not to be rude but you could get cut in two here in Irelandby some peoples tongues if you were'nt used to it. I thought scousers knew the score?

Everyone on here is on for the right resons and they have thier opinions, other than that enjoy and browse, see beyond and you'll come across some good people with big hearts.

Maybe he was told off, for not having spaces between sentences, or capital letters :D ;)

I only look at the official club forum as well, but the difference between here and there is stark, many posts there are so off-topic, that they look like they were written by 4 year olds, and it's not open 24 hours, like here. Many posters have openly declared that they were leaving it altogether. So there are advantages and disadvantages, which generally even themselves out.

    Interesting post.

I am not sure what you mean by saying we are very 'corporate orientated',could you elaborate..?Text speak and enlarged fonts etc etc are not encouraged because if you are reading a lot of posts its hard on the eyes, its just common courtesy and most decent sites would have similar rules.

As for Irishkop having a 'clique',its only a clique if you cant get into it.By the nature of the site we have a lot of meet ups going to games or last night a few of us were in the city having a few beers, its only natural some members will forum friendship's and meet up a lot.But there is nothing stopping anybody from coming on our trips and getting to know other members and then been part of this clique you talk about.

    :)

There is "clique" on all sites IMO.
It can be very anoying when you put a comment in a thread , one you think is valid and it is ignored or the next post is a relpy to what a "mate" said earlier , but ,as I say this happens on all sites and can mostly be explained by D13 post below. I wouldn't look too deep into it if I was you.
You and me can go into a corner a have a chat on our own :)

The line that is a worry is
"BUT saying that its a brilliant idea to try and get irish reds on one site!"
Going by the rest of your post I get the feeling this a side swipe of some sort. Or may be you just have me paranoid. :)

Mate your on the site a wet week i think this "clique" your talking about is a bit in your head why dont ya wait a while before judging.. If being a liverpool supporter is a so called clique then yeah its a clique but i dont think its the clique your referring to . Granted some people will side with some people but you have to understand alot of people on this site know each other personally and would possibly share the same views . Not everyone is going to have an individual view some people will agree on things some wont thats what we are here for , to express our views.

And if your wondering why alot of people disagree with your views is possibly because you slated how the site is run in your first post on this paticular thread. I also think you were looking for someone to bite so am i a part of this clique your talking about??? I dont think so

As stated before there are trips to matches and stuff where people meet up and have probably bonded. This may make it seem like a clique to some.
Guess its whatever way you look at it.
But there are still plenty of individuals on here who chose not to go as part of group trips or meet up at events and can come on here and take part in the debates, give their opinions and generally have a bit of banter too.

Dont get too worried about it. There is definitely a 'them versus us' situation on this site. Certain members here can do what they like, whilst others get told off or even banned in my case for expressing an opinion. I'd say you are on the bad list already given that you have obviously been to a game pre-2005.

However, there are some top reds on here. I have no doubt that you will spot them fairly quickly.

Your posts are very difficult to read so I'm not surprised you got a bit of feedback.

The words "pot", "kettle" and "black" spring to mind. Ever heard of a comma?
