I absolutely love this game, it's the only computer game i play. I find myself getting really into celebrating goals, hating to lose etc. The best thing I think is scouting the next generations talent. When a player you find for nothing turns into a mulit-million pound star! I'm counting down to the next game coming out on the 14th November!!! Had a look on the website and some cool new things added this year; things like a 3Dmatch engine and even proper press conferences before and after every match. Apparently things you have previously said to the media can come back to haunt you! And obviously they have improved thing already in the game. Sounds like its gonna be a class game but the only bad thing is that it always causes arguements because apparently I "spend too much time staring at a f**king screen and not enough time staring at the missus" The worst insult I ever got from her was "You're not a real manager, it's a stupid game"
I'll be getting this games myself. Looking forward to it. My missus is a little less strict than Jmurray's sounds, so I'll be grand

That is the reason I havent played this game since it was called Championship Manager. I was starting to get square eye. It just took over my life. I'm older and more mature now, so I'll purchase the new game and not let it control me.
Me too. I had to go cold turkey. There were times I'd spend 4/5 hours of my Saturday playing it. It's such a time waster but SOOOO addictive. Don't kid yourself into think that just cos you're older and wiser it'll be any different. The moment your new signing scores his first goal you'll be hooked
i think i'll be making the purchase myself.... i haven't got the game since the 06 version i think... but thinkin back on the fabulous memories... i think i've rekindled my love for the game... the missus wont be pleased... but she loves me so she'll put up with it... ha ha... i think a bit of an online league would be good alright if people had the time to partake.

Did you win the final? I remember winning the league with Liverpool on last day of season against the mancs in Champ manager, needed a draw at old Trafford and equalised in 80 minute, started hugging my girlfriend and she told me to 'get a life'
the new game is fantastic,loving the press conferences,find myself adding words like he offers us possibiltes no?and speaking to the missus in a spanish/scouse accent. Could be divorced by next week if i keept his up
This one looks the biz lads. Picked it up in Xtra Vision for E40 (not bad!!). 3d matchs enhance the gameplay.
Anyone that has bought it, what do you make of it?? Havent bought it yet but, Im hearing mixed reports!!! Is it worth buying or not??
I got it i love the games but i found some silly glitches in it. no.1 was when searching for a player using the name or typing in general everytime i typed a letter it came up twice which was very frustrating having to delete a letter everytime. no.2 the 2d match was very jumpy and my spec is well good enough to handle it i didnt wanna check the 3d because id say that was horrific. Those 2 reasons alone made me give up on it as it was too frustrating to play and i love the games. Il go back to 2008 at this stage. And yes i have the patch and all that shit but still getting these problems.
I got this game last Friday and I'm hooked. If you start with Lfc then your tarnsfer kitty is only £4million, so haven't signed anyone and Lucas is playing a staring role in the midfield.
