started to watch this show a couple of weeks back, the creator of lost is on board this one,the first one or two episodes have been mediocre but it has really taken off,for anyone who likes to think outside the box you're gonna love this one,its a really good show, keep an eye out for it,its all about psychokinesis teleportation nanotechnology artificial intelligence precognition dark matter suspended animation cybernectics, stuff like that, great show and the characters are fantastic.am glued to it.
Watched it tonight in work seemed interesting but wont make any judgements just yet but it has potential.

I don't know the sites stance on what can and cannot be talked about but these shows are shown over in the US before they are shown over here. Thanks to the internet it's not that to find the episodes.
I myself, have watched the first 4 aswell. First thing I think that needs to be said is "it's not like LOST". People associate Abrams too much with that show. Fringe is the new X-Files in my opinion. Self contained monster/experiment/weird shit episodes with an overriding plot ticking away in the background.
The first two episodes were only okay but it really picked up with 3 & 4. It's on a short break in the US now so it's a bit of a wait for the next episode.

Looks a decent enough series so far and has been picked up by Fox for a full season and believe me for a sci-fi or mon reality show thats a miracle on the Fox network.
Can it keep going over a long period I dont know, but it was good to read that the creaters Kurtzman & Orci (JJ Abrams was just added to sell the show the same as Lost) have said they have already written the second half of the final episode so know how it will all end. They wont write the first half until the know how far into the mythology of the show they are at when get word they are being cancelled in case they dont get to tell all the story they want to leading up to it.
As for Fox they are planning on cancelling The Sarah Conor Chronicles because it doesnt get huge ratings against Heros, Monday Night Football and about 6 other shows in that time spot and are blaming it for Prison Breaks bad ratings this season (which has nothing to do I guess with it being very poor this year). So rather than move it to another night they start to consider cancellation so how Fringe has gotten a full season is a miracle.

That's a complete pain in the nuts ...
I'd been following The Sarah Conor Chronicles on Bravo, Sundays then it suddently disappeared .... it's very good, imho (you just gotta love the female terminator ;))
Here's a bit of info, suggesting it was doing well on the ratings ?

I've recorded Fringe on the old Sky+ so will hope to be able to catch up here soon enough.

Iv good news for ya, TSCC has started its second season in the states. So its more than likely it will be shown later on probably on tv 3 i think they had it also
Andrew

Unfortunately (kinda), TSCC is still being canceled. They gave them a few extra episodes for season 2 so they can wrap it up. Fox haven't said anything official but it doesn't look good. Ratings for season 2 are poor and I can understand why. I've seen the 6 episodes of season 2 so far and only the last two were in any way good. It's been poor other than that and for a Terminator show there's never any sense of danger or threat.

I'm not trying to ruin it on anyone, but if you listen to the father he's sounds a bit like Adam West from the old Batman. Not just the sound of his voice but the way he starts explaining things 'we need to get a certain compound and add it to the scruntilizer machine'.......

I've become a big fan of Fringe and was an X-Files fan too. They are not hiding the fact that this is a re-vamped take on the X-Files which is bourne out by the fact that they have hired a couple of producers from the X-Files to work on this show.
Its like the observer is going to have a big role later on in the series as after the episode he was heavily featured in the next one we see him getting out of the lift in a blink and you'll miss him scene and isnt seen again but will no doubt be back.
Its been given a full season in the US as has the TSCC which means between these and Lost and my favourite BSG starting back in January the first half of 2009 looks like being a good one for SciFi fans.

Still watching this myself (US aired episodes)...i've found that we're slowly but surely gaining more dept into each of the characters...they're correct in their approach, as although it might make the story slow, it doesn't pack everything into one season leaving the writers to come up with gibberish for the second season etc...just look at prison break, how far has that come from the prison...

I watched the Fringe finale on Wednesday and all I can say is there are 2 twists one most will probably have sussed out already and the second is what I think the yanks call a 'game changer' in that what we have been watching wasnt even the first chapter of the show is was just the forward and next season is going to be bonkers.
Agree with everyone on The Mentalist I've been downloading this since it started and there is one left I think I just think its a perfectly cast show and I find Janes obsession with tea, sandwiches and picnics quite funny.
I watched the season finale of Lost last night and its actually all starting to make sense now.
Thankfully Prison Break finishes this weekend (bar the tv movie) I've only been watching now purely to see how it ends. How did a simple show about breaking someone out of prison wind up about starting world war 3 with scylla exactly?

I have have heard good things about Lie to Me but I normally dont watch mid season replacement shows from the states unless I know they have a second season as it they were good theyd be on at the start of a year and not back up programmes.
I think I saw the first 2 episodes in Sky Anytime on my HD box last night so will give them a look.
Ive watched a few Eleventh Hours but it is a bit serious I prefer quirky shows a bit more these days and Jane in The Mentalist and Walter in Fringe sell the shows for me. Same reason I watch Bones as Brennan who is the main character in that is a super brain yet clueless when it comes to interacting with people making it pretty funny.

Great show alright, I was disappointed that it didn't continue from that meeting in the Twin Towers and was getting a tad annoyed at the lack of movement on what happened to Olivia (bar the bowling alley guy who was all cryptic messages).
Ep 3 was the turning point for me, it's starting to gain a bit of momentum now with the Observer back, Walters connection to it all, whatever evil Charlie is up to and Olivia is starting to remember flashes.

yeah that was annoying but i reckon this show could be there for another 2 seasons after this 1 so i wouldnt be holding out for too many answers to questions just yet.as far as i know joshua jackson is signed on for 6 seasons, ofcourse it could be wound up before that but with the high ratings it has in the us at the moment, who knows.
