After watching the last ever episode on FX on Monday night, it was a perfect ending to the greatest TV show of all time, I'm gonna miss Omar,Bunk,McNulty,Clay Davis,Slim,Prop Joe,Lester,Bubbles,Jay and the rest big time. WTF am I gonna do now, no TV show will ever be the same after watching this truly amazing show.

    That sucks.
I'm only on season 3 myself so I have plenty of time before I run out. It really is a fantastic show. Pity it never got much exposure over here. I think RTE (or TG4) show it really late at night which is ridiculous. It deserves a prime time slot.

It didnt have much exposure in the US either, when it was on it was commonly referred to by the critics as the greatest show of on tv nobody watches.

    Hes a legend

State Sen. R. Clayton 'Clay' Davis: My brother, let's be fair. I'm providing you with the opportunity to go head to head with the state's attorney in a case that's going to be front page news. For all that profile? Sheeee-it, partner, you should be paying me a fee. Seriously, dog, for twenty thousand cash to my campaign committee, I'll get myself indicted federal, let you go to trial on that. Beat the feds like a stepchild and really make a name for yourself. **** you? Naw, son, I'm going to make you. Mother****ers going to be wiping their ass with Johnnie Cochran's memory and carrying your business card in every damn pocket before we done.

    Always loved the Intro!

    Way Down In The Hole

When you walk through the garden
    You gotta watch your back
    Well I beg your pardon
Walk the straight and narrow track
    If you walk with jesus
    He’s gonna save your soul
    You gotta keep the devil
    Way down in the hole
He’s got the fire and the fury
    At his command
Well you don’t have to worry
If you hold on to jesus hand
We’ll all be safe from satan
    When the thunder rolls
Just gotta help me keep the devil
    Way down in the hole
All the angels sing about jesus’ mighty sword
And they’ll shield you with their wings
And keep you close to the lord
    Don’t pay heed to temptation
For his hands are so cold
You gotta help me keep the devil
    Way down in the hole

great show. some great charactors in it! downloaded the 5 seasons and watched them all within a month. :D pity they didnt do another season. :( thought season 2 was the poorest season. wouldnt call it the "greatest show of all time!" sopranos and oz were better imo.

2nd season was defo the poorest,4th season the best. Only on the 2nd series of Oz so far so cant comment on that yet but the wire is defo better than the sopranos, more satisfying and rewarding to watch

Great show but have to disagree about it being the greatest ever.It has never reached the writing skill of the west wing series 2-5.It also has taken a lot from a cancelled after one season show called boomtown. If you can try watch it,genius show.
Also the last series of the shield is better.
Wonder why the wire took off like it did?Is it because all the other shows were off peoples mind or finished...the sopranos springs to mind. This was ahead of its time and just as aggressive as the wire
