New website launched today with corporate and premium packages available. Afraid to ask what the prices will be.They will be extortionate no doubt. http://www.faivantageclub.com/index.htm
I got a letter in the post yesterday morning offering me priority to buy one of the premium seats or boxes, someone in the FAI is obviously confusing me for someone who won the lottery lately! In fairness these figures were being banded around months ago so its not really a surprise. Its really only going to be of interest to corporate departments across the country, and despite the current economic climate I reckon they'll get rid of most of these seats fairly easy. Besides, the more they charge the corporates the less you and me will end up for the privilege of seeing games in the new ground.
Got the letter too and checked it out............do they not know where in a recession, mad money to watch football!!!
I got one too. The worrying thing for me is there's 10,000 Premium Seats, which seems an awful lot of the overall capacity (50,000). As I was only on the waiting list for the block booking before Croker, I don't hold out much hope for a block booking in the new Lansdowne Road. Nice to see the FAI looking after the genuine fans
Got the letter ... had a look at the website, even the "Vantage 4" tickets behind the goal, are a complete rip off ... Initial Fee: €7,000 Annual Fee: €500 So, if my sums are right - it's €12,000 for 10 years behind the goal ! Fuk dat for a game of soldiers ..
That john delaney has some cheek with those prices. then again he had the cheek to get denis o brien to cough up trappatonis wages
Ya how many games does that get you because if my memory serves me correctly you only get the soccer games unlike Wembley. Although it is less than a few years ago I think it was 15000 punts for a ten year ticket The funny thing is I told them that I wasn't taking the tickets because of the money and now they want me to buy these ones are they f**king stupid or what
Its some cheek taking that sort of cash off people and it only applying to the FAI games, if you buy a stadium ticket for Croke Park do you get to go to gigs etc that are on there too? more like FAI-takingad-vantageclub.ie...................hahaha do you see what i did there??
You don't get to go to the gigs and other events at Croke Park, but you get first option on your seat for concerts, rugby etc.
That seriously sucks ass, you pay top dollar for seats like that, and im sure the money is needed to cover the start up costs of projects. I can understand the FAI and IRFU not being able to predict how many events outside their sports are covered (they might have 2 concerts one year, and none the next) but in my view, if you buy a seat in Landsdowne it should do you for the sports of both codes..........but sure what do I know, and thankfully I dont have the money, interest or stupidity to buy the tickets!
I agree, but I think these tickets are purely aimed at Corporate clients with more money than sense really(although I don't know why we all got sent letters!!). On a plus note, I watched the Virtual Tour, and the stadium looks like it will be fantastic. Unfortunately, the FAI Cup Final will probably be my only chance of seeing the inside of it!!
Love how there is a scatter of tournament goals in the "where were you when this happened?"........highly hopeful that we will get to more tournaments, and then if we do, your hardly gonna be watching them in landsdowne!! Animation for the stadium looks impressive though.
Also in the letter it states that any block bookings for Croke Park will revert back to the ticket quantities which applied at the old Lansdowne. So, basically if you only became a block booker when we moved to Croker you will have no allocation for the new Lansdowne
I am doing my sums here as well you take a vantage 1 package Intial Fee €12,000 Annual Fee €2000 x 10= €20,000 Thats €32,000 divided by 70 games (based on 6 home inter... and not forgetting The FAI cup) that works out at €457.14 per game? I know this gives you access to a private lift, a padded seat (and the price of cushions these days) but surely not. Ye of wisdom please tell me I got something wrong!
Didn't even read the letter, that's a big blow to me, albeit not surprising. The stadium is too small for it's purpose.
