Champions League Qualifier (2) 28 Aug, 2007 20:05. This game should just be a formality, its live on RTE IIRC.
Could be a little more tricky if Carra and Sami were both declared unfit for this one, but even then I would fully expect an easy enough game for us.
sami is fit for it...but carra could be a few weeks out according to Liverpool.tv I think we have enough to cope for this game and the home match against derby.. away to portsmouth could be tricky but after that we have birmingham and wigan.. so not a diifficult run..our squaaawwwd should cope. 2-0 to pool, crouch and kuyt to start.
Crouchie and Kuyt to start with Benayoun also getting a start. The defence will be interesting to see who Rafa starts.
team Reina, Arbeloa, Hyypia, Agger, Riise, Benayoun, Leto, Sissoko, Mascherano, Crouch, Kuyt. Subs: Itandje, Finnan, Torres, Alonso, Pennant, Babel, Lucas.
odds seem a bit ridiculous considering the team we have playing Liverpool 2/ 7 draw 7/2 Toulouse 11/1
ooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh sami sami!!! Yay!! And had another sneaky fiver on timmy to score 1st!!
Very comfortable win. Toulouse were absolute shite [ please note Mr. Platini before you go tampering with CL format ]. Kuyt & Benayoun were outstanding, as were the 2 central midfielders. Good work out for Leto, but just a bit raw yet. Lucas looked very comfortable when he came on though, albeit in an easy game.
we did what we had to. Those games always make me nervous. Think poor leto looked a wee bit nervous. But hopefully he can move on, lucas did well. all in all its a job well done.
lucas's one touch passing set a couple of good moves up benayoun worked really hard and put some good balls in to the box kuyt was excellent
Am I mistaken or did Momo leave us during the summer to be replaced by someone who had all of what he had and the ability to pass? Thought Benni tried but wasn't really up to much and remain unconvinced by Babel, but he's so raw that it's unfair to be critical.Thought Lucas looked something good albeit against nothing. Dirk Kuyt is the man and sooo delighted to see Masch back on the pitch, please let us sign him on a permanent deal.
