Emm Gryner plays Slane

Probably no one here will have heard of her .Well a mate of mine is a fan of hers and seen she was to do a gig in Dublin on 2nd Oct in the Academy.So he sent her an email to her myspace page wondering if she'd be interested doin a gig in a local of ours while shes in Ireland.Within 5 mins of sending the message she replied and said no problem she was well up for it.On thurs the 25th sept she plays boyles in Slane to an audience of 60 people,theres about 20 tickets left priced at E6


Emm has played Oxegen and also worked with David Bowie on his Bowie at the beeb album.She has also appeared on later with Jools Holland.Emm is also a member of Cake Sale, a veritable whos who of the irish music scene.
Self confessed fans of hers include Bono and Nelly Furtado.

 

How did the gig go Azzkikr?

 

Didnt make it Paddser,flogged me ticket on ebay.Couldnt go last minute thing but i heard see was pure class.Only 60 at it pub closed till 8 no ticket no entry.Apparently go a review on newstalk this morning.

 

Good stuff, never heard of her, but you sold the story well! Sounded all intimate and acoustic! Mite mail her and see can I get her to play my living room in Trim....then flog my ticket on ebay

 

Well if i got her in my living room the last thing id be worried about was listening to her dulcet tones,and be in awe of her piano playing....if you get my drift
