I think the rules for the show is that the audience has to be made up of 50/50(men and women). That the rules when getting tickets for the show in England anyway, don't know if it's the same in the RDS.
I think the reason is they were getting a load of stag parties and big groups of lads shouting and causing mayhem.. i think they figure if ya bring the missus you'll be that bit calmer... Little do they know my other half is nuts
