View Full Version : What Papers Do you Read?

Interesting to see the comments on Roy Curtis, just wondering what papers most people here read on a daily/weekly basis.

I used to get The Star almost daily when I was younger and the Sunday World on Sunday, not anymore. Avoid the tabloids at all costs, mainly because I tend to tar them all with same brush as The S*n. You can't believe a word thats printed in them.

Dont get papers daily anymore as the metro is all you need and if i want to read the latest news, all you need is breakingnews.ie or skynews.com. On a Sunday, I get the Indo, as it has a good sports section.

Apart from the freebies you get in the morning I dont buy papers anymore just use the net, I use the Irish Times website for proper news, and the BBC and Liverpool Echo site for the footie. Its a sign of the times when the stories you read in the morning papers are old news having seen them on Sky the night or afternoon before.

The Times is the only one I get regularly. After that I'm not too pushed.

(It's more important NOT to buy certain papers than anything else).

At least the bullsh!t is kept to a minimum in the Times

Glad you can be so flippant about it. You were actually surprised your reply was taken off ??? Its one of our core values and we've prob been way too leniant about it but there's time to rectify that yet.

Buy the times or indo on a sunday sometimes. Mainly I get my news from the net from various sources. Always worth trying to get independent news sites aswell,

I found one called the real news on youtube. Its mainly US politics but its very good (apart from crap video directing.)

I forgot about the post, tend to only buy it on Saturday now or on a Monday after a good weekend of national hunt racing. Much easier to nip into the bookies the rest of the week and read it for free ;)
