Hi folks,

I hope it's ok to put this up here.

Myself and a few friends have a block booking for 6 tickets for the upcoming Ireland World Cup qualifying campaign. But we are going to Australia for the year and we don't want to lose our block booking.

We are looking for people to take up our tickets for the following games.

Cyprus 15th Oct 08 €50 (to be paid by end of Aug)
Poland (friendly) 19th Nov 08 €40 (to be paid by end of Aug)
Georgia 11th Feb 09
Bulgaria 28th Mar 09

At this stage of the campaign we will be back, but obviously if someone has taken on tickets for all of the above games and any other friendly that comes up we will be happy for them to have them for the remaining games in the campaign, if they want them.

Italy 10th Oct 09 and
Georgia 14th Oct 09

Please contact me by PM if you're interested.

Hi mate

If that is the face value of the cost of each seat at each game, then there's no problem putting this up on the site, I'd expect. Can you please confirm ?

Are you looking for someone to take all 6, or can the group of tickets be split if required ?

I might be interested, will drop you a PM to follow up, over the next day or so, just want to speak with a couple of my mates first.

Thanks.

Yeah, it's the face value. I'm not looking for a profit on this, just looking to keep the block booking going when I'm out of the country.

I'll get back to you on the PM, I'm looking to get rid of the 6 tickets, but I'm willing to split them up if people want less.

I have a feeling a few more of these posts will be put up over the coming weeks. With all this talk of recession and the like going on I can see a few folks letting their block bookings slide with the FAI asking for €125 to go and see Cyprus in competitive action Poland in a friendly.

Ya I let my block booking go for perfect seats right on the halfway line 6 rows back. Times are hard lot of money to see s#@te better off going down to watch wexford youths you will probably get a better game anyway

Lads

I've agree to take 4 of Titicamara's tickets for the games he has on offer - suits myself and my mates nicely.

If anyone wants the remaining 2 tickets above, drop me a PM as Titicamara has now left the country, so probably easier to contact me as I've his contact details while he's away.

The GAA get a huge slice of the ticket revenue, and rightly so. (What they do with this money is another matter).

Hi All
For anyone interested there 'should' (Im pretty sure there will be some) tickets avaialble from the Cork City allocation. The lads will be in the Red Parrott 57 Lower Dorset Street from 5pm on. The lads, like everyone else here, hate touting so all will be face value, as it should be.

The tickets are for the canal end ... those of you who are not GAA fans, thats the Davin Stand :)

Anyone stuck can PM your mobile me this evening and I will gladly see if there are any about tonight for you!

This is sound but if you have an oppertunity to buy from a genuine fan who is stuck with tickets, you should buy from your mates online here. The FAI get enough money without fans being out of pocket!

Look after one and alike.

Bren, are they part of that FAI/Eircom League Fans Initiative that they started a few Years ago?
i've been getting Tkts all along through Bohs but thought it had been abandoned for this WC campaign cos i didn't hear a word from the Lad who looks after it....
for the last campaign the Tkts in Croker were always in the Canal lower....

Im 99% sure it is. The guys are 'official supporters' of the club and get the tickets through the club.

I was in town lastnight for the game and at 6.30pm the touts were selling tickets at face value ... I was chuffed to bits. Ticketmaster had two vans out selling too.

Ive noticed for quiet a few games that touts are not making profits anymore; infact I was offered an All Ireland Final ticket for face value from a tout 1 hour before the game. Im sure circumstances change depending on teams etc. (if it was the Dubs he would have been charging 300€).

Maybe its because the venue is so big now but the ould profits for the touts are really taking a hammering ... breath of fresh air!

Its a high risk investment, maybe the touts should quit, and take up banking, at least then its not their own money at risk!

Couldn't help noticing the amount of empty seats around the stadium last night; no wonder touts were selling them at face value. They flashed up the attendance (55000) on the screen in the 2nd half but they didn't exactly announce it like they would normally.

That's the recession in evidence. There were only 1,000 more than the game a year ago.

You'd have to be rich or mad, to pay €70 to go and watch Cyprus these days. I was there last night, got a good deal with the ticket that cost me less than face value. :)

If that was evidence of the recession, would there not be less at the match this year than last year?
