Looks like our man has realy started to get back to his best, based upon his overall performances since the start of the summer friendlies, along with the above.

I'll absolutely trilled for him and hope his excellent form continues.

Also, good to see a few more of our lads representing their countries, nothing like having a team of quality players .. only thing then is, human nature starts kicking in and you start wondering if you'd rather they only played for LFC, not for their national teams etc ;) :D

Too right, hopefully we retain him and he should give us everything in order to keep himself at Anfield, really like Xabi and hope he can get back to his best form, particularly that of his first seaon or so with us

Well done Xabi. Absolutely delighted to see he starting to get back to his former self in the last few games. Let's hope the form keeps up and he stays at Liverpool.

Great finishes by Alonso, and beautiful by Torres for the first.

On a side note, 2 great assists for Chapel for Xavi's goal and Alonsos second. I thin k afew people here are fans of him. A natural winger. Would he be expenisve.

I am not a big fan on chapels myself mate find them quite boring but Capel on the other hand is more exciting prospect! :p

I've been watching him in la liga the last couple of seasons and he is twice the player Navas is on the other wing for Sevilla. I only found out he declared for Spain recently as I think he is Argentinian. An explosive old style left winger, would love to see him at Liverpool but I dont think he would solve our left sided problems as he is very attack minded and wouldn't offer much cover to our LB, and so would struggle in Rafa's system. I'd say he would cost round the 20m mark.

Nice to see Alonso staking his claim for a regular starting place with Spain, they have a wealth of talent in the middle of the park.
What a player though and only 21/22.
