Could we create a list of pubs around the place that are guaranteed to show our games? I know a few pubs haven't subscribed to Setanta and a few of us got caught out for the Villa game in a pub on Jervis street. TP Smyths. They said they were showing the match but the owner didn't know it was on Setanta One and we all had to bale out at kick off looking for somewhere else.

Kids, if your reading this, drink is bad for you. Play sports instead and don't turn out like me ;)

    Slightly off-topic, but...

What was that pub that bought the big screen from Highbury..?

    And so they use it?

Aye used to live around the corner from it on Marino Crescent and that was my local. Watched Euro 2000 games there which seemed to be timed to displace all the soaps, oh how we laughed.......when the wimmin weren't looking. That was the year I invested in a widescreen TV when it was a toss up between that and gym membership across the road..........I still have the TV !

A chipper beside it too (tick that crucial box) and still drop in before Croker matches after parking near my old abode.

Glasnevin, Beaumont/Artane/Donnycarney (was always a big debate about that one), Santry, somewhere on south quays which I can't remember, Clondalkin, Finglas, Santry again, Sir John Rogerson's Quay - South Quays, Smithfield Village - North Quays, Clonliffe Road - Drumcondra, Marino Crescent - Clontarf, Grange Road Baldoyle/Donaghmeade, Kilcock (a dub suburb at this stage), Leopardstown the current abode.

I kid you not. Any other areas I'm sure I probably kipped on someone's couch there or thereabouts for a week at some stage :D.....I was briefly in Tallafornia too, forgot that one.

My favourite area of the lot ? Coming from a culchie, undoubtedly Clontarf, should've bought there.

...for my sins. You could nearly say I've travelled. I did take a break for over 3-4 years back in Wexford and Waterford though, that kept the Dub locations down ;) :D

for anyone in Dundalk area, Oscars show all Liverpool games whether on Sky, setanta or "Funny Tv" as I call it. This is a satellite feed from the middle east matched up with an english commentary adudio feed. You can see what games are coming up at this link.

Oscars in Dundalk has all these stations

Gibneys in Malahide bought this screen. They have it in their smoking Garden up quite high. I believe the actual screen was so big the could only use a quarter of it as well. I've been out there at night when they show music on the screen but the quality is so bad you wouldn't watch a game on it.
