Not sure if this is the right forum for this thread and I'm sorry to re-open old wounds but here goes:
I was on the scAbbey Travel day trip to Athens for the CL final that involved being given Milan tickets instead of neutral and being stranded overnight in the city amongst other incidents. I complained to scA.T. (who sent me a reply letter full of excuses) and the National Consumer Agency (who said they would investigate)and eventually scA.T. said that after discussion with the NCA, they were pleased to give me €200 worth of travel vouchers:rolleyes: (scAT vouchers obviously).
After paying over €1600 for the trip, this "gesture" was an absoloute joke so I am going to try the Small Claims Court. I need help locating the guy who sat behind me on the plane back to Dublin as he got contact details of a flight crew member which would be invaluable in proving we were given false flight times. scAT advertised flight home at 6am but plane didnt leave till 1pm and flight crew said flight was never scheduled to leave at 6, but at 12pm. If scAT had advertised the flight leaving at 12pm, they couldnt have sold the package as a day trip and wouldve had to find accomadation for us, so instead they shafted us.
Im sure there are a few of you on this forum who were also on that flight or know peole who were on it so I am asking if you know who the guy was, who passed around the petition letter on the plane and spoke to the flight crew:confused:. I know its a long shot but I dont want to let scAT away with this.
Apparently they only compensated those who complained within a few weeks of the trip and this was a huge minority as most people thought it would be a waste of time. This apathy only encourages these travel companies to shaft us football fans again. Next time this sort of thing happens, dont sit back and take it, sling some dirt in the other direction:mad:.
P.S. I would love to hear the progress of any other claims/complaints about this trip.
