I reckon the best bet I have seen so far for the forthcoming season is in the handicap market. Portsmouth + 30 points e/w is surely buying money. I can see them getting 10 extra points compared to last seasons total of 57 which will give them 97. This should be enough to win the bet but even if they only hit 90 I think they'll still be in the top 4. Odds below are from PP

    Man United (0) 18 - 1
    Man City (28) 18 - 1
    Wigan (43) 16 - 1
    Chelsea (2) 18 - 1
    Portsmouth (30) 12 - 1
    Bolton (44) 18 - 1
    Arsenal (7) 16 - 1
    Newcastle (31) 20 - 1
    Fulham (46) 12 - 1
    Liverpool (9) 10 - 1
    Blackburn (35) 18 - 1
    West Brom (50) 12 - 1
    Tottenham (20) 14 - 1
    West Ham (37) 16 - 1
    Stoke City (54) 18 - 1
    Aston Villa (26) 16 - 1
    M'brough (39) 16 - 1
    Hull City (56) 16 - 1
    Everton (26) 18 - 1
    Sunderland (41) 16 - 1

Each Way Odds 1/5 places 1,2,3,4

Dont want to seem to doubt you fella but i always thought these markets were 16/1 each of 20..........LFC +9 @ 10/1 must be the worst bet of the century, but i appreciate your tip Pompey, they look to have the profile of a team with the firepower to head the betting without top 4 market.

Yeah it used to always be 16/1 across the field but that has changed this season. They must of been burned last season.

I'd agree the Pompey bet looks decent, well worth a tenner. Spurs+20 could be surprising although i don't think their squad is big enough to last the pace
