This is not good at all. Georgia backed by the US and Israel in military conflict with Russia. I hope this stays very local and ends very soon. But why oh why have to USA got their nose stuck in this again?

US military excercises begin in georgia and this confilct happens straight away.

This could get really nasty, and from this vantage point its hard to see how all out war can be avoided with a tit-for-tat tirade between Georgian and Russian leaders going on and fatalities building up on both sides.

A small side note to all this is that Ireland's game in the Georgian capital in 4 weeks time could be in major doubt soon enough.

its no coincidence this has happened just as the US starts drill on the border with Russia. It f**king stinks the whole lot!!! It was Georgia who fired the first shots too. why would Georgia do that? are they nuts? do they think they can take on russia ?

God bless America. In there as always providing a helping hand. Naturally, many in the blinkered western world fail or want to see this. Pray to god, Ireland is never attacked. Thankfully, our neighbours the UK and the USA will be first there to help us.
