Footballer Wayne Rooney has been questioned by police after allegedly spitting at a paparazzi photographer. The Manchester United and England star was interviewed under caution after the incident near London's Oxford Street. The 22-year-old was reportedly leaving a restaurant with his new wife Coleen when the alleged incident happened. He was spoken to by police at a neutral venue after a third party made the complaint shortly afterwards. In law, deliberately spitting at someone is an offence of common assault. A report is expected to be sent to the Crown Prosecution Service who will decide on whether to bring charges. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: 'At 12.10am on Wednesday we received a third party allegation that a photographer had been spat at by an individual outside a restaurant in Hanway Street, W1. 'Officers established the incident occurred at approximately 10.20pm on Tuesday evening. 'The alleged suspect, a 22-year-old male, was spoken to by police. 'He was not arrested and did not attend a police station. Inquiries continue.'
That is one of the worst things every by any one is spitting,i fcking hate it,and that fat pig should have more sense.
he would of had to say something to wayne to have him spit on him. insulted his family or something its never as straigh forward as it sounds
I agree. There's bound to be two sides to this. And those bloody paparazzi never leave the top players alone for a second. It must be very frustrating getting hounded everywhere you go and sometimes people just snap. That said there's no excuse for spitting at another human being. Disgusting
100% agree dont get me wrong id smack the camera outta his hand before i spit on him. well i probably wouldnt do either but i defo wouldnt spit all im saying is he was provoked
I completely agree that the photographer probably went way overboard and that we probably will never hear the full story but i know that for me spitting at someone is probably the most disgusting thing you could do and i don't know why but i actually would have expected more from Rooney. I'd be much happier to hear that he'd just punched him or something, its the more honourable way of dealing with di*kheads.
What a cream cracker. Spitting is the most disgusting thing you can do to somebody. I've no doubt the photographer guy probably wound him up but no excuse for that!
