Lets get this thread started.
Hopefully Keane doesnt make his debut tomorrow night as i want to see him in the flesh with the "liverbird upon his chest" for the 1st time in Glasgow on Saturday:D
Our other new striker, David Ngog will hopefully feature as he has been in training with the squad.
Spanish lads should hopefully feature at some stage given the opposition and venue, especially Reina - which is why the match is taking place.
Gerrard,Voronin, Aurelio are all injured. Pennant and Finnan are back training and fully fit.
Olympic players Mascherano, Babel and Lucas are away.
Nemeth hasn’t been involved in pre-season yet due to representing Hungary in the European Under 19’s, so he could make an appearance as he was on the bench against Stockport on Saturday.
Match is on 8:30pm tomorrow night live on Sky Sports 1.

would like to see Ngog get a run, and I'd imagine he will as he has been in pre-season. Has Nemeth done no pre-season training on account of Hungary? If he has done none, I can't imagine Benitez bringing him in....I wonder will Robbie get a run? It will be his second trip to Spain in about a week after going over with Spurs to Alicante!

I think you will see Keane and Torres by the end. He will most likely bring on few of the Spainish lads at start of 2nd half let the get the ovation they deserve

Its not the greatest game in the world, lack of pace you'd know it was a friendly

Its actually not bad for pre season. Keeper, Darby, Plessis and Skrtel doing well. Dossena looks a tough nut.
Vorinin!!! What does Rafa see in him, esp out on the right?

Think rafa is playing Vorinin in every game hoping he will catch somebodies eye so he can off load him?
Not too bad a game little faster and tougher than what we have had so far second half should be interesting when the spainish lads come on.

great idea by villareal to give the liverpool and vilareal spanish internationals something 4 the great tourno they had in E 2008 good to see. good first half for keane. good passing and kept very busy very unlucky with the shot. skertyl is playing very well aswell have to say. just noticed verionin is gone to the left and beny is on the right and none of the 2 are getting back and there giving villareal alot of space but the new keeper we have is having a great 1st half aswell. luv to see the partenership ithink is going to be the buss next year c,mon rafa plss lol. and mayby put kyut on instaed of veronin. its only a friendly but id love to see torres and keane have a go at um :cool:

ray houghton just said its a bit silly the way he gave nemeth and a few of the other lads only 25mins. he said it cud knock his confidence a bit because he only after coming on and what will the likes of nando get outta playng 20mins???
Hopefully he mite give nemeth a bit longer on sat. I thought he did ok

Ray Houghton is a C*** bitter little man, Nemeth only returned from th euro under 19s we had 23 players and everbody was used do the sums lads! Nemeth is class and did ok, worked hard very good 1st touch if that shot had been a foot lower people would have been having multiple orgasms!

why does rafa persist with Voronin is beyond me, just as i build up my pre-season confidence in our team,i see him starting for us:eek:
even when he was on the bench last season,i remember praying that he wouldnt be brought on.
when he gets the ball,it somehow turns oval shaped and bobbles about !
The player is a hindrance to the progress of LFC this coming season,
and needs to be shipped out ASAP. as most of us know.
im beginning to wonder has Voronin got some kind of incriminating photos of rafa:rolleyes:
anyway,bit of a messy game,lot of changes to come to any solid conclusions.
good to see some of the youngsters get a run,and to see robbie start.

good training session as aldo said on sly sports the team will be trimmed down in the next 3 games so . we,ll get to see carra agger gerrard onlonso torres kyut and keane our big name players all in the same team id like to see more of skrtyl aswell thought he was good in the first half . what can i say we have a very very good sqaud of players now. so hopefully they,ll be all ready for the CL qaulifier and langers of light lol:D

Yeah I can't see the logic in sending on the kid and then taking him off again 20 mins later. That's not gonna do his confidence much good either

I'm sure Rafa said to Nemeth "I'm going to bring the Spanish boys on to get a run in front of their homecountry fans for 20 minutes at the end, you'll get 25 minutes of a run out." Bit of communication and there is none of this so-called ruined confidence. Houghton is a tw*t.

dont know what makes him pick that eejit but if we need 2 sell to get a midfielder him and pennant would be my number one choices to sell
