Lads and lassies- I have been engrossed in this all day. Federer and Nadal have put on the best Tennis match I have every seen. Nadal has just broke Federer in the 5th set and is serving for the match at 8-7 up in the last-Amazing!!
My flight's delayed thankfully so I may get to see the winner!!

Absolutely cracking game of tennis, the best I've ever seen. Some of the plays that went on today were out of this world. Great way to pass a hungover Sunday!

As have I...but only by chance...The brother turned it on straight after a cracking Grand Prix...usually, i wouldn't watch tennis for sustained periods, but i was entertained for an entire day watching two men at the top of their game...

Good game but of 62 games, there were only 3 or 4 breaks of serve. Very predictable, 2 tie breaks and marathon sets.

Best final in Wimbledon history was Ivanisevic - Rafter in 2001. The wild card Ivanisevic, won 9-7 in five sets. The last final on a Monday in front of a vociferous crowd. The real tennis fans got in to watch it on the cheap, not the hoi-polloi from Oxford, Cambridge and Surrey.

No more rain delays in Wimbledon at the stuffy, outdated tournament, after the roof operates from next year. Only took them 150 years to cop on to the brainwave. Next break with tradition, night matches. Sometime.

Fantastic game - best since the ivaniseviv final for definite. Some of the double backhand cross court passing shots by nadal were scary at times. Federer threw everything at him and made a real game of it - at two sets down a lesser mortal may have thrown in the towel but not federer and the way he won the next two was pure class. Definitely more enjoyable than watching k'kenny bt the living sh**e out of the yellow bellies in their annual stroll in the park. Great couple of wks for spain...is it an omen i wonder!!

I was hoping Fed would win to pass Borg's 5 in a row and get 1 closer to Sampras's 7 titles there. Will Fed win 2 more to equal Sampras's 7 Wimbledons?

    I was delighted for Nadal.

He was really unlucky last year but deserved it this year. Great match.

    Brilliant Summer for Spanish Sport!!

Nadal has put down a marker to Federer that he has a genuine challenger to his supremacy. Djokovic is another but Nadal is the real deal. Legend he is along with Federer.
