i Posted this in the GAA Thread but i thought i'd start a new Thread to See what other people's Experiences were...

well i had the Misfortune of being Sat beside Westmeath's biggest Gobshite yesterday.one of the Drawbacks of not being on the Hill is having to Sit with the Opposition's Supporters but my Daughter has started coming with me this Year and she's too Young to go on the Hill yet so it was in to the Lower Cusack for us and young Javier.
for a Man of his Age he should've seriously known better,i'm all for Supporting your Team but this Lad was WAY OTT...
Swearing all the time, all the Dublin Players were cnuts, all the Fans on the Hill were cnuts.every time a Dublin Player got the Ball it was "HIT HIM,HIT HIM!"
Jumping all over the place after every Point was Scored,he went fcukin Bananas when Westmeath Scored.that was all bad enough, but the one thing that was Winding me up more than anything else was his Use of the Phrase "that's the shtuff" about a Hundred fcukin times
also, every Westmeath Player on the Pitch seemed to be called fcukin Dessie according to him..
anyway,i Said fcuk all throughout the Game, just let him get on with it.if Dublin Scored i would Applaud and that was it.when Jayo Scored near the End i Jumped up off my Seat and Shouted"COME ON DUBLIN,THAT'S THE SHTUFF!"
    he was fcukin Sick...
before anyone Says anything,i have absolutely no Problem with anyone from Westmeath.Mrs Avidmerrion is from Westmeath
it just Annoys me that People have to Behave like that at a Game, especially with Kids around.

funny you should say that, I was at Monaghan and Westmeath in Clones in the last game of the league and two whelps from Westmeath were sitting beside me. They were around 15 or 16 and did not shut up the whole during the match. I can get carried away at matches but there were bananas. Everyone was dinny or fla and all they seem to want was for Monaghan players to get busted. I know a good few lads from Westmeath and they are sound. I suppose every county has these types , Monaghan included.

    ROFL :D :D :D

I'd far rather Croker had opponent fans sitting away from each other, rather than mixed in. Yea, sure I know it's more sportsman-like and friendly to be mixed in with the oppositions fans, but lets face it .... most of them just do your head in ;)

Yeah I think every county has its element of bogeys alright!. There was a few Westmeath fans near us on Sunday and like others have said, they never shut up - even when they scored the first point you'd swear they had just won the all Ireland!.
But look it, its all part of the game and the fact that GAA fans can mix together at matches with no trouble is one of the things I love about the game. I mean look at English soccer:rolleyes:, would never want us to be like that.
You get some a**holes at games, and it can be infuriating if your team is losing and some sap is in your ear! But apart from that I don't get bothered too much at the games. Maybe thats because being a Dub we out number the boggers 99.9% of the time anyway so its all good!:p:D

Erm, I was with you until you mentioned him saying that's the 'shtuff'. Being from West Cork, I say 'Shtuff' quite a lot, so can't have much sympathy. I also curse like it's going out of fashion, but do try to be conscious of young kids.
