I can't believe he had the audacity, and the balls to go into the Jewellers...He was never getting a penny from the guy on the hotdog stand from the offset, they're too wide to stunts like that every day...he might as well have goe down to moore street, he wouldn't have much luch there...

On another note, the man is a certified genius at what he does, his memory skills are second to none, which represents the long and arduous career...I would love if he wrote a revealing book at sometime during his life, but something tells me he will keep those cards close to his heart for his whole life...

He actually wrote one a few years ago: Derren Brown 'Tricks of the Mind'. I have it at home but haven't had a chance to go through it all yet. They may just be pub tricks to amuse a few friends but it gives a bit of insight into his own background. An interesting read for about 10-15 euros.

Thanks for the link pam. I liked the video where he made the guy 'drunk' without using alcohol. There was some trigger word that initiated the symptoms. A few days later the guy is studying in college. He gets a text from Derren (it's the trigger word of course) and starts getting drunk in the college library. Classic.

I read it, but it was far from revealing, rather disapointing...but then again, you can understand him not wanting anyone to imitate his acts...

That's it really. These guys spend alot of money and time mastering a craft. So the last thing they want is for the average fella on the street to turn around and say 'that's so obvious'. I'm interested in the psychology behind it: how some people are more open to suggestibility and misdirection than others.
