Good Luck Bernard with the fight, anyone thinking of going Bernard is a big Pool fan , he maybe reading this YNWA
I have been watching Bernard since he came back from the US only reading about him before that, what a fighter he is and he puts on a good show and to top it all of he is a Pool fan what more could you want in a sports star.Mrs Dub13 is also a big Bernard fan, before she had the good fortune to hook up with me she hated all sports,I am chipping away at that now as she loves football and a bit of boxing. I am thinking about heading along to this one, this 'kinky' guy looks good from the few clips I have seen of him also this will be his first fight outside Spain and its to a packed point which is not good management from his corner if you ask me (and I am no boxing expert). My only concern about getting tickets for this now is I assume all the good ones are gone and I have never been to a fight in the point so I would rather watch it on TV than be stuck in some corner trying to make out the action. On a side note,I would love to see Bernard and John Duddy on the same bill filling croke park next summer hopefully both going for world belts, now that would be some night.
best of luck mate if you are reading this. at least you'll have the Match against Sunderland that Day to keep your Mind off the Fight for a while..... if the Dubs win on Saturday you'll have the All Ireland Semi Final to look forward to the Day after
Bernard if your reading this - I'll give you a seat at Anfield next to me for Derby game and you can be guest of honour on our trip If you get me a ticket for fight? please -
Dunne was too cocky after his last fight and thought he could walk it tonight, lets hope it is a wake up call for him to stop showboating and be a bit more like Ricky Hatton. Can't wait for his fight with mayweather in december
fully expected Dunne to win tonight. was listening to a Guy on Newstalk last Night from America who reckoned Martinez was a nobody, never mind Dunne...... the fact that he was beaten tonight doesn't bode too well for his Career
What do you think of Martinez back room men putting 10k on him to KO Dunne in the first @ 66/1 not a bad nights work.
Touch of the century...jeez am I jealous. Sorry for Bernard but the Spaniard was like a tornado...killed the bloody atmosphere in the pub!
Think he deserved it, cocky little so and so, needed someone to put him in his place, hopefully he learnt a lesson!
I think it's all over for Bernard now...if you think how long it took for him to get this far, and his age, it would take at least two years brfore he gets where he was previously, and the world title is now out of the question...It's obvious that he needs to put on some muscle, if you compare himself with kiko, i just cannot understand why he would come out that way...and the questions that popped up in my mind when i heard how much was won...i'm not going to mention it...
Cocky is right!!! As soon as he stepped into ring you could see the grin on his little smug face thought he had it won before the start. He'll never get over that defeat, he is finished!!! Teach the cocky little f***er, boxing is a mans sport, no time for cocky f***ers!!
