Haven't played it on the Wii myself, but like yourself I think the PS version is class. The Wii version looks fairly complicated to play, would be interested in hearing reviews from those who played it.

I've played Pro Evo since it was called ISS on the Playstation, continued to play it until now on the PS2. It's the best game ever and I don't just mean football game.

I've played it a few times on a friend's PS3, looks pretty good but I'd like to get more of a go at it.

I've also played it a few times on the Wii, I think the way they've done it is an interesting idea. You have to swing the numchuck to shoot and you can point and tell players that don't have to ball where to run to before you pass it to them. But on the Wii format the number of different things you can do in comparison to the PS2 is limited.

The reason Pro Evo is so good is down to the gameplay, not the graphics or commentary or correct names which are all better on FIFA. The number of things you can do on the PS2 and PS3 formats are what makes it so good.

I hope this helps, but I will say that I'm open to contradiction by anyone that owns a Wii. But I'd be pretty sure that for me time wouldn't improve the game that much.
