In a pub I'll always opt for Guinness but at home its hard to beat Duvel although it is very expensive compared to other premium lagers. In saying that it is 8.5% and tastes better than the majority of household names. Kronenberg is about the only other European beer worth buying IMO. Corona specials always go down well in my household too. Any other good brands I'm missing out on??
I was rared on the royal dutch meself, would not touch it now mind or its younger sister dutch gold,on a warm day its hard to beat a bottle of miller or a large bottle of winona ! Ps i have just had too much ale tonight ! im gonna do the silent bounce here !
Erdinger for me, has to be he nicest beer around although expensive in the pubs buying from tesco or dunnes its 2.70 a bottle
Now there is a blast from the past, who was not rared on this back in the early/mid 90s I remember buying this as it was the only can that was under a pound I think it was 99p on in some shops 89p... Kids these days don't understand the difficulty we had growing up pre Celtic Tiger.
it has to be Efes. wouldn't be the best Taste-wise but every time i have one of those Bottles in my hand i'm Transported back to Istanbul.... always get one any time i'm in the Woolshed or the Porterhouse
while its not a beer coopers sparkling ale is amazing, drank it all the time when i was in oz you can pick it up in the poterhouse and woolshed and its 5.6% which aint too bad either
Just recently being buying cans of carling in tesco.Top beer easy to drink(this can be a good thing or bad!!) and one of the cheapest of canned beers. Not that im a cheap-skate or anything Still its hard to beat a bottle of corona with lime but i find ya drink bottles too quick
Arthur is the only one for me. Used to drink Bud but became allergic to it and there was me thinking I was building up a tolerance to it.
Smithwicks is your only man. I used to drink pints of Harp, Bud and all that dung and me head would be bustin the next day. 7 or 8 pints of Smithwicks and the affect is almost nil the next day. Other than that I would drink bottles of Miller or Corano and as I like Italian Restaurants, I have some of the Italian gear, Peroni or Nastro Assuro.
Corona for me when I'm out or pints of heinken. The nicest beer for me was a pilsner of some sorts I had in germany some years back can't remember the name.(apparently they have stricter controls on chemicals they can use in their beer). Erdinger I have tried but its not for me.
Six cans of Dutch Gold for a Fiver reminds me of the good old days Must admit, I'll drink most beers, but over the years it's tended to be: Pints of either Guinness / Heiniken (although Miller has been getting a look in of late, given the Heiniken can be a bit inconsistent). Like the German beers, but generally find I get pretty hammered on them (faster than on other beers, I mean ) Bottles: Miller, Corona or most other bottled beers on special offer in Tesco are usually found in my fridge
i remember the dutch gold and linden village special deals when i was in college, it was like drinkin yellow water
anyone remember dorftmeister and stonehouse cider?? Used to get them for feck all years ago dont think i've seen them in years. Tiger beer is top quality aswell usualy only drink it in the chinese never thik bout getting it anywhere else
haha six cans of tennants for a fiver in my day was the order of the day! That or a flagan of Old English These days i stick to bud, but i like a nice cold bottle of miller of heineken
Brings back happy and not-so-happy memories of drinking Royal Dutch/Black Orchard snake bites in college... actually I don't have many clear memories of college at all.... Drink our sponsor now myself, love it out of bottles but not many place have it in bottles.
3.09 for a 33cl Bottle i was going to sample it last night but when you can get 6 Bottles of Efes for 7 Euro there's no Contest....
I'll drink anything except Cider or Heineken. Current favs are Tyskie,Żywiec and Okocim. Those Poles sure know how to brew a good beer
