If Bristol City manage to gain promotion to the premier league this season, do you think he'll get a call from Trapatonni, I know he's allways wanted to play for Ireland as he's said this a number of times, and we can do with as many strikers as we can get, he has that pochers touch that we lack at the moment I know he's getting on in age now but I still think he could be usefull, he could be some one to come off the bench and change a game for us, he's worth a go IMO
I think he is very talented but he has one big problem. He can't run. He is slower than Mobly ever was and he does not play the middle of the park. Having said that, Doyle is pretty slow, Morrison is not a good player, Long is very young. Might be worth a call up.
Hes 32 and has 6 goals or something to his name this year. No way is he good enough to play international football. At the same time I do like watching him in the Championship. Bit of Le Tissier about him.
Is Doyle that slow???? never noticed that about him, Didn't think he was blistering fast but though he was lively enough. I don't think Trundle will be getting a call from Trap unless he really impresses in Prem lge next yr if they get up
try Tell people in my home town that !! they'll hang you - he's brilliant I have watched him play at ashton gate a few times gives 100%, well good enough
Your spot on james ! if bristol come (dont reckon they will beat hull mtself) up people will see for themselves how the change in the pace of the game will affect him !
This is a very negative comment but - He probibly shouldnt have been so loyal to Swansea if he wanted to play international football. Then again maybe he felt he was a big fish in a small pond. Im sure some, better than average, championship team would have took him if they thought he was good enough? Nothing saying he cant be used as a squad man, give him a few caps and a few memories ... at 34 he will be way past it for the next competition. Good player though, wouldnt mind having him in my Sunday team!
He had his chance to come on board, it's time to move on an look at younger players with potential to step up to the mark. Like James McCarthy at Hamilton Accidemicals.
