Should be a good game this, I imagine the stadium will be packed full of their fans so should be a good test for the Redmen playing in an "away" game. And if last night is anything to go by, Kuyt will be given some reception.

To be honest now, i've lost all faith with Harry Kewell now...i'm not sure whether it's his constant injuries that frustrate me, but i don't know what Rafa sees in him...i think his Elland Road days are long gone...

sadly I agree.

Its a pity as there was bags of potential in him. I'd say this is his last chance to prove he is worth it.

Has to be his last chance, and Rafa is taking a big gamble giving him another one. If he doesn't start producing top performances soon it could cost us a place in the title race. Come on Harry, show us what your made of!

Stevie and Mellor got reds awhile back, can't remember if they were straight or not, but yeah think its just for the straight red, yeah having seen it again he did, me thinks he might get in more trouble!

If I remember correctly,Players get suspended if referee reports the booking in the match report. It used to be a kinda unwritten rule that the refs wouldnt mention it before, hence why ol whiskey nose got cranky when shrek was suspended last year.

I thought it was a good run out, but there were some things that need urgent attention.

1. Arbeloa. Awful. Drenthe destroyed him. The only good thing he did was that faceblock, and that was wrongly given as hand ball. Not good enough.

2. Offside trap. Didnt work. Agger was very poor and Carra looked confused. Riise did ok, but still lost his man for the feyenoord goal.

3. Midfield. The only problem was there wasnt enough protection fot the back 4. Stevie needs to play ( class act) but not as a 2 man centre IMO unless sissoko or masherano are with him.

4. Kuyt. did well, but wasteful. He needs to improve his finishinh, otherwise Id play crouchie, or a 4-3-3 (Benayoun, Torres, Babel) as front 3

This has been in for a long time now, but I'm pretty sure that red cards only lead to a suspensions if its an internationally recognised tournament, ie. Rooney in last years Amsterdam Tournament and Stevie and Mellor in the same competition a few years back. Seeing as the Port of Rotterdam Tournament and the Premier League Trophy in Hong Kong were both internationally recognised, any red cards would have been carried forward into the respective leagues once the season started.

It all sounds a bit ridiculous to me to be honest.

I wasn't happy with Torres being played on the right, i wasn't sure if it was Rafa not wanting to show his hand before saturday...I just hope this is not a sign of things to come...

That Drenthe guy was trying to make a name for himself with that tackle you could see him smiling afterwards. Gerrard won't get banned it was handbags stuff. I think Rafa hasn't got his best team in mind. Looking back at our pre-season schedule we haven't played too much quality opposition to test ourselves which could be to our disadvantage come saturday. With Villa beating Inter Milan 3-0 on last weekend the game is going to be hard battle lest hope the team is up for it.

I really think that was just to give him a run out...and yes, Drenthe is a complete and utter w*nker!

I thought our off-side trap worked well for the most-part!?

Drenthe seems to be in the mould of Kluivert, great footballer on the field only to be an absolute dick off it. Seems to be a trait of quiet a few Dutch footballers.

Liked the passion the players showed in the match, especially Stevie lad.

More of that needed, agressive f*cks with one aim and one aim only, No.19.
