Right, I'm getting married this year, (to some lucky girl), and still haven't sorted a band out so i'm looking for some help/suggestions?? Anyone recommend any half decend bands that aren't going to break the bank? Nice one Shay
Hi Shay, when and where are you getting married? You might be leaving it a bit late to book a band. Most are booked out up to a year in advance, especially on favourable weekends. The band is a massive part of the day, and if you have a good band, people will be leaving happy. Anyway, the standard price can be between €1000 and €2000 depending on who you get.
One of my mates had a great band last month at his wedding cant remember the name (can find out if you want) they were the dogs gonads, wearing 80s clothes and uniforms think they changed for different songs, done a good mix of music old and new got the crowd going i think they were a little on the dear side though !
I am not with it today,I taught the thread was about wedding bands as in wedding rings.I started to read the first reply and was thinking to myself 'there is no way It could take a year to make a ring'. I think I will get my coat.
I'll send ya my band up when I'm finished with em What are ya lookin for Shay mate somethin to your tastes or somethin to keep everyone happy with all that 1234.. 1234 dancin wit ur granny sh*te . The band we picked wouldn't be my cuppa tea but as youll see fom the entertainment section not everyone would enjoy my cuppa tea. Good Luck to ya Shay mate and the 2nd luckiest girl around
Spring break is the name of that band i was on abar earlier shay, will text you the number when i get it
I know yeah it's hard enough to find one, getting Married in Dec in Dublin Haha me bollix, for anyone that doesn't know Daz is gettin hitched in a couple of months and still hasn't seen the band he booked......actually im wrong he went to see the band but they had a different singer, guitar player............only member they seen was the drummer hahahaha Yeah send it over, sounds like hard2touch, i rang them but they are booked up for the crimbo period lmao, its the old age mate Haha, send them up mate!! Just looking for something that'll get everyone up and enjoying themselves, hate them bands that just play and everyone sits watching them................although i'm known to hog the mike for the odd rendition of Elvis!! That'll keep them quiet
Spring Break played in D2 I think last Sunday night - have heard very good reports of them before - very popular and entertaining.
Shay, there's a band in the Wicklow or Gorey area called Big Jewell. I reckon they'd travel to Dublin. They're travelling pretty much to New Ross for my wedding next year. I saw them last year at a wedding in Gorey. Fantastic band, dancefloor was packed for the night. They're priced at about €2000, not sure what your budget is, but any decent wedding band is gonna cost you in and around that price. They also supply a DJ for afterwards, included in the price, no extra on the €2k. But it is money well spent if you get a good band. They're a massive part of the day. I used to be in a wedding band for years, around Dublin, Louth and Meath.... got me through college and the craic was good doing it. And Dub13, I know where to get wedding bands too... as in rings... They are custom made and wont cost a fortune, you could say I'm a bit of a Del Boy. Cut out the middle man... saves a fortune.
Actually add me to your list, so three egits!. It was only when I saw 9Torres' response I copped it! Ah well I'm not Blonde for nothing! My friends went to see that band Spring Break and they said they were absolutely brilliant. They're really popular though so say they would be hard to get and would cost ya a fortune. Does your wife-to-be use weddingsonline.ie? My friend is getting married this summer and found that site brilliant for getting tips.
Fair play to ye, will ye pm me their number pal? Yeah they look good craic, i sent them an email for price and availability, they are probably booked and over my budget anyway but sure i'll see what they say
