Alrii Ye tbh Shannon isnt the best ...too much traffic and holidymakers and bowsies etc etc So what ive been doing the last few years is going on the Erne ...Much better but only problem is that if your hiring a boat,the locals and the real sailors lol kinda look down on you but like it doesnt really matter... Enjoy
We done it last year for a stag liam, we got the boat in carrick on shannon in leitrim, we used emerald star http://www.emeraldstar.ie/ we got a boat with ten beds,well equiped with kitchen shower and son on, most places you pull in at have showers and toilets too, had a ball mate what a weekend they give you maps and so on with routes and places to see, really enjoyable and good craic in the towns that we tied up at !
