Well put redeagle. Sad times when a player is damned to damnation before he's even kicked a ball on the pitch.

My good, Rafa is stocking up on the South Americans; Mashesrano, Aurellio, Insua, Leto, Lucas and Paletta. I have not heard much about this Leto chap

have to agree he played well, like the look of Leiva impressed tonight along Insua. Paletta whatever is up with him i don't know

Agree Leto looked strong and pacy but maybe over reliant on the left peg to the detriment of his right. A decent full back will lead him inside all the time on to his weaker foot. I have to say I did like the look of Leiva whom has a good first touch and range of passing. Babel on the other hand looked poor yet again. I just don't know how Rafa is going to keep all these midfielders happy. Gerrard, Alonso, Maschereno, Sissko, Leiva all looking for 2 spots in the middle. Can't wait for next Saturday at this stage......

I know what you mean, but isn't it fantastic to see such an array of talent battling for places in the starting eleven! Hopefully we get to see more of Stevie G in the middle of the park this year, but who do you drop? Alonso, Mascherano and Sissoko would week end week out for most top European clubs. I imagine we could see a 3 man midfield line up for away trips to the like of Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal this season, changing it to a straight 4-4-2 at home, or maybe even 4-3-3. oh the endless possibilities :D

Looks like he didn't get his passport after all but was given special dispensation to play.

Meanwhile, it’s emerged Sebastian Leto’s availability for this weekend’s Rotterdam tournament was due to special dispensation, not the conclusion of his passport application.

Leto, who started against Shanghai last night, still won’t be free to join the Reds officially until he’s granted European status.

It was earlier thought the 20-year-old left winger had been given the all-clear from the authorities, but he’s only been given the green light to play as a triallist for the time being.
