Just read in this mornings newspaper that Tony LeT is about to depart Anfield - not that any of you will be too disappointed I would think. He spent last year at Sochaux and they've confirmed they're considering meeting Rafa's €2.7m asking price. Its just a shame that a player with such a massive potential when he arrived has never cut it. He played very well against Juve in 2005, but hasnt featured since. Well, as we all know... Rafa knows best. Bring on the new season.
It is very disapointing. I've been throwing out old magazines and Kop's etc and reading around the time we signed Ant n Flo...Such hype that never materialised for a number of reasons. Every article said Ant was the more promising and maybe in the future this will be proven, but for us Flo fulfilled (some) of his promise. Was meant to be quite arragont if i remember correctly, and didnt bond well with others so to get 2.5 mil plus is quite a good deal
I remember reading back in the days we signed Sinama and Le Tallec that Sir Alex rang up Houllier offering his congratulations for signing these two kids. Whether it was our coaching at the time or the fact they were never going to cut it at the top level, they've probably proved to be the most over-rated youngsters we've ever signed. In fairness I'll never forget Sinama for the first goal in the 3-1 v Olympiakos but not one outstanding memory of Le Tallec remains for me I'm afraid. Still lad, all the best wherever you end up.
I was reading that young fella Samba that Liverpool were going to pay a few million for when he was 15 from Millwall in the late 90s is now without a club. Just goes to show. Le Tallec looks very lightweight, when he was at Sunderland he did not have the stomach. i think Rafa sent him there to see what he was made off, and he showed nout. He is no loss!!!
from what I heard when he returned from holiday he was sent to train with the reserves, then after that he was told to leave. Obviously came back with an attitude, then started upsetting the reserve training and was told to politley F*%K off.
He had an attitude of a big time charlie, delighted he is gone, is this what heard that Pongolle slag off Liverpool fans over Liverpool fans not been for Liverpool heard this on one of the fellow lfc sites on the web on a article about le tallec leavin can anyone shed light on this first i heard of it???
