    rio is CLASS
make sure you catch a flamengo game in maracana. and a boca game in BA. sao paolo avoid. huge city with not much to do in it. night life in BA is nuts. florinapolis is good if you visit during the brasilien holidays. Iguazu falls is a MUST.

www.travelblog.org is a great site for peoples tips on different cities and what there is to do

Cheers will take a look at that, flying into Sao Paulo because it was cheaper but Rio does seem the much better city

Didn't realise their football season ran through the summer, excellent!

Was in Argentina for a couple of weeks in June a couple of years back - went to Buenos Aires and Mendoza.

    Very very cheap it was!
The steaks are massive and lovely and so cheap over there and

Not to much to do in Buenos Aires I didn't think - maybe take in a football match if the season is still going - visited La Bombonera (Boca Juniors) no match on, real old looks like its going to fall down stadium but right on top of the pitch so can imagine the atmosphere is amazing.

Went to Mendoza - up near the Andes, went white water rafting and there was a good few colleges in Mendoza so alot of young people.
